People should only be putting up their pics if they're very high quality, taken with a good camera, and look as if they should have been involved in the Camaro/Trans Am advertising campaign.

Not trying to shoot anyone in particular down here, but it just seems that these threads are always filled with crappy pictures from anyone and everyone who feels the need to ***** their car out.
here is the nail, there is the head, and you hit it!

It's either a Single Lense Reflex....or it's not. If a camera website can't determine that....they should kill themselves!

Thats why I am not going to enter anymore. I can't compete with the pics I see in here, my best shot wouldn't hold up at all in here. Thats due to haveing just a point and shoot though, haven't found the resources to get a SLR....yet.

my camera is a "off the shelf" $200 camera. a $1200 SLR is not a requirement for good pictures.

True, but I can't get any new ones of mine...due to the pile of crap not wanting to hold paint. I have tried my best ones on here already, so I have to wait to get new ones to try.

Ah what the heck. It'll be a cold day in hell when a LT1 T/A wins this but I guess I can throw a few up.

Try a better software program like Photoshop. It uses very good mathmatical ratios and such to resize photos without adding jaggies. You can download PS 6 or 7 from file sharing programs.

You can get by without a good camera. Just use the highest qaulity setting and shrink it down later on with a good software program. One's like PS have a variety of tweaks and filters you can use to make it look better as well as add effects. I just got a great camera, but for this thread you need to get real artsy. I need to scout out some good locations and take some at sunrise or sunset. You don't want to take your average everyday shot. You have to put some effort into it.
I thought that winning photo was a high quality one shrunk down and then tweaked only to find out it was from a point and shoot. He used some tricks to tweak it up. It's very impressive.

I don't plan on winning any of these monthly contests anytime soon, but I will participate and hopefully learn something.

Here's my first entry. It's a little experimental with the colors and all.

I really need some input here.
First, I think I was too close to the car. I need to get further away.
I probably should have cropped it more 16x9 ratio instead of square shaped.
The background is plain and boring. I need to find some scenic background.
Maybe put some sky in there, huh?

Maybe I'm looking at it all wrong. First find a scenic background and then throw the car in as an afterthought. That might work.
