Since there was such a lack of emphasis on the car in my last pic, here is another from that same day. The one thing I don't like is the cloud reflection on the lens which shows up on the cars right rear fender. Anyone know how to prevent those, assuming you want to keep the same angle?

Here's a bigger version.

Also have a 2895x2256 version if you want it.

How else could you get a picture like that?

Yes, that's what it is. I'm just wondering if there is a filter or something that would maybe get rid of it. Would a polarized filter reduce it? I'm new to these DSLR cameras myself.

^^ On that photo, I meant to ask, was that lightning really there or was the background added later from another pic?

If it is all one pic, how the heck did you get it? I tried getting some lightning from a storm recently and got squat. Did you just get very lucky?

I'm outta town on business and I'm using a computer with a CRT monitor. I see all of my pictures are way too dark. I thought it might be just this monitor, but I checked two other CRT's and one LCD. They are all the same. This sucks. My monitor at home is a high brightness/ultra-high contrast LCD screen which I've been using to edit all of my digital pictures. So, if you don't have a nicer-than-average LCD screen like mine, just about every picture I've ever posted is a lot darker than it should be. Some areas of the pictures are actually completely dark.

Sorry to ask, but when do we post pictures to enter? Every time I try, I'm always too late and there's a winner. Is it in thier thread we post and then the winner will be August?

I think the July winner was really the June winner. So sometime in August when they pic august winner, it will really be the July winner. Does it make sense to you now?
Me neither.

The August pic of the month comes from the July Entry Thread..and then an August entry thread is made and the process repeats.
