its got jewels for guages and diamonds in the dash. not only that but the breaks alone costs them nearly 200k to make. everything about the veyron is years ahead of today. this veyron itselfs costs 4.6 million to make. voltswagon allows them tob e sold for far nuder the production cost because they claims its "a test to test todays technology" or soemthing along those lines.

You can say whatever you want but a stock car that is advertised at 505HP Flywheel and puts out around 450 to the wheels that can run a 10.8 is extremely impressive no matter where the hell you are or what the air is like.

Everyone keeps throwing this 100K price out there and there are two local guys that I know of personally that paid A LOT less than that (read: sub 72K)

And your 3 10 second cars that you build wont have 5 year/100k mile warranties either. I would love to spend 70K on a new Z06. You get a car that is in the supercar class as far as performance goes, speed, handling and braking, and you also get a great warranty. Cant beat that.

Welcome to the mid-Atlantic. Had he waited one more day... The DA here was -2150 ft (thats not a typo!) Sunday morning until about noon when it began to rise.

And keep in mind this run was made on a 17" drag radial!!

Lets compare the Z06 to your 3 10 second cars. All of your cars would handle like a ******* battleship compared to the Z06. Each one of them would most likely get single digit gas mileage as well. And then when **** broke (which we all know **** breaks in fast cars), I'll head to the dealership for warranty work and you'll head to the bank to get a loan. Hell your cars most likely wouldn't even be street legal. I'll take the Z06

That sums it up pretty good.

I wonder if Ranger has done any computer tuning on his car? I know he has commented the TM inhibits his track times.

OK first off I said that the Z06 was going for CLOSE TO 100K, search autotrader ppl they priced b/w 80-85K and thats used ones too, w/ TTL your looking at 90K+ AKA CLOSE TO 100K!!!! next was my point that I admit they are amazing machines from the factory but guess what? they have an even more amazing price...("I'll take the Z06 " - yah b/c they are just giving them away right haha)...and about the factory warranty, if any one of you could afford one you all know you would mod tha car so say BYE BYE WARRANTY, I mean **** you could get a base C6 for under 50K drop 15K into it and drag a new Z down the highway and still have money left over to go buy a new Honda Accord as a daily driver and not to mention the cheaper insurance.....bottom line is how many people like us that have our daily drivers double as our weekend warriors can actually afford this car? not to many
