How much does that 13b drivetrain weigh? I gotta think it's quite a bit lighter than the LS drivetrain. That thing was just sick. Where are those guys? NC?

Yes its Hockys car.

The 13B FD weights 2800 # and so does the LS1 FC.

The 13B is a iron block and the LS1 is al so believe it or not they are pretty close to a wash.

A 13B actually weighs more than LS1 to my knowledge. Which is strange... Who would've thought a 1.3L motor would weigh >= a 5.7L V8

My friend anthony at T and R racing got into the 10's (flat 10) for about 5 grand with a T78. The 13b's are awesome, there are just many (mostly) stock ones out there and the built ones need to be rebuilt often.
9's and 10's?!? I think that is a little to much of an exageration.
