Your project looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to see what becomes of it. Keep us posted. Group projects are a lot of fun. Specially budget projects. Seeing how far you can go with such little money. It really makes your skills as a shade tree mechanic shine well. HAHA
Me and some guys from my last base had a similar idea. I had gotten a 1989 RX-7 5-speed for free with a bad tranny. We were going to build the car, race it on pinks and the sell the car plus the car we won (assuming we won) and donate it to the Air Force Seargents Assoc. Which does all kinds of great things for military folks and their family. A local junk yard had donated an old 350. We had the metal guys at the base going to coustom make what ever we needed. Had a few places lined up to donate other stuff. I had talked to pinks and they thought it was a great idea. They wanted pictures etc.. We had the rotary yanked, tranny, interrior gutted and mocking up the 350 to go in. Well, then I got shipped off to Korea so I let them take it over. So if you ever see a convertible RX-7 on pinks reppin the USAF you know what happen, haha.

GOT BOOST!! not a lot but a little
![Happy](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_stretch.gif)
that's about 3psi. didn't really play with the fuel or timing yet and this is with no load at all(no tranny). i think with a light load like just riding the brakes and playing with the fueling and timing we might be able to leave with a lot of boost. maybe on Saturday we can try adjusting the fuel and timing and see if we can get more boost out of it just sitting here.
looking at that chart 19ms pw is a lot of fuel, there is black **** all over the wall . i think you want to be rich with a 2 step but that is probably way too rich. we need to get out in the garage before 10pm so we can make some noise and play with this thing.
the rpms drop from 3000 rpm to 2500, i wonder if the 2 step is even working at that point since it is set to 3000 rpm. i think the over fueling might just be holding it back at that point.

didn't do much yesterday. working on the rollbar isn't my idea of fun. we got it cleaned up a little on the inside and the trunk.
we also uped the 2step to 3200rpm and gave it a test, whoa!! 11psi easy.
