The only reason I know for sure is that a very good friend of mine has
run 6.90's @ 215mph with less than 400 cubes, a 106, and a Liberty.

Indeed it is. Outlaw cars are insane...and they are getting more radical
each year.

My intent was absolutely not to take away anything from this badass 'vette.
Sorry if it may have come across that way.

nah i knew u weren't..it's just hard comparing cars running in two different classes ya know. for lsX motors period this vette is going where not many have gone before. hell i think only 2 other lsX motor cars have run 7's or better. i know fereday's turbo camaro has run 7's and then you have the full tube chassis camaro with a lsX based motor that went 6's.

He must have a 2,000 degree meat thermometer in the intake manifold!

Very sweet vids! I too have never seen a vette pull the front wheels off the ground so much.

There is another LSX that has run well into the 7's with a bad convertor and 200 lbs overweight.

We'll see what happens with a 200 lb diet, another 400-500 hp and the right convertor in the near future.

It's not about whether they will work...will they be efficient enough
to go rounds and to win. So far, I haven't seen evidence that they can.
