once again though this is from a roll...slicks with a 5K launch dont account for much here.

we would pull about a 1/4 panel at the top of every gear, the 4 valve was reving 1500-2000 rpms more than the gt, so that gave us the edge. either way it was fun and hopefully we can meet up sometime for a rematch

You saying that a Cobra that launches at 5k rpm and traps 114mph like my old friend Jason's is going to have the speed of a 104-105mph car if you race it from a roll?? I don't think so buddy, you may get an extra mph or two out of a huge clutch dump......not 8-10mph. Think about what you're saying here....ET will vary greatly depending on launch rpm, but trap speeds never lie. Simple physics

when did i ever claim a huge launch negates 10 MPH on the big end? you just claimed that a cobra when driven well with gears and tires will run "deep into the 12s." well id have to admit that with my car well driven (say a 12 bolt with MTs also) will obviously run equally as well or better possibly than a cobra driven the same way.

In no way am i trying to argue with you about the possibility of a well driven cobra running well..im just saying in our roll race..it seems simple horsepower and who has the most is gonna win. not him taking me out of the hole with a 7000 dump with 4.56s and a serious tire. in a non sarcastic way..do you see what im tryin to say?

It is in the tune, IMO.
Maggie, longtubes full exhaust, I believe it is at 6 or 8 psi. Laid down 505RW.

Edit, still has the stock airbox. Probably gain 3 mph right there

Something doesn't add up. 505rwhp should trap MUCH higher than 110-111, no excuse IMO

umm ill race him but im gonna get toasted by a 500+ RWHP car....are friend Tony (the one in the GT) has a 03 Cobra with some stuff..he would be a better race. Say i did win..it wouldnt be much to brag about saying i beat a car with a ridiculously horrible tune on it.

yeah i agree. regardless of the tune. if the car had a tune good enough to put down 505 RWHP..it sould trap in the 120s id think. even in that boat.

That is what it should be trapping. Not sure how high they spun it to get them numbers, but maybe when at the track they arent revving it out enough. Dunno, but they havent gotten better then a 12.8@111 out of it.
