Someone doesn't know what the hell they're doing with that 98 Cobra. With full bolt ons (good gears 4.30+) that car N/A would have been deep into the 12s with tire, and a great launch. Add a 100 shot, and it would be DEEP into the 11s.

I would have to see it to believe it. Especially if they are runnin 13.6 with mods. Hell a stock LS1 on street tires with the right driver will go into the 12's. You add mods & it gets deeper.
Never seen a older cobra N/A with the stock motor untouched run any quicker than a high 12 without power adder AKA nitrous.

Completely stock longblock (heads, cams, intake, and shortblock untouched), Just boltons, weight reduction, and traction. Its gone a tad faster than whats in the video now. Still stock longblock.
I would agree though with 100 shot and only running 13.6 somone needs to either give the driver of that cobra some driving lessons and/or some tires.

Yes the key is the launch. 6500 to 7100 rpm dumps, 4.56's and shift like a raped ape. But later years, n/a cobras had a much easier time running 11's with the new and improved head design. But everyone now wants to throw a power adder on and say they're fast. I guess I'm old school with a new school motor. -Mark

You still talk to him?

i was in the 98 cobra as a passenger it has stock gearing plus 20 " rims we had three people in the car and a sub woofer that problably weighs 200 pounds with the box ,and to help, his bottle pressure was at 700psi can' t say much about the track time except for it being his first time. we beat the blown gt by 1 car at least and he was by him self ,he's about to put on the mickeys and take out the speaker and hopefully we will hit better times

Video sucked but it's interesting they had a little grudge race similar to friends of mine here. A friend of mine has a 97 Cobra with a bottle, well had a bottle until the other day, has been wanting to run some local buddys with a 02 GT with a Vortech S Trim and Cams. They never seem to have working cars on the same night lol. The Cobra just traded the nitrous for a Procharger, so should be interesting whenever they finally run.

This GT of our buddies would be a lot quicker with an intercooler. plus its a vert so its kinda heavy and the 4.30s in it make it seem like he shifts 4 times for every time i shift once. i would guess with an intercooler and a real tune 350-360 RWHP isnt out of question.
