The problem is that Vipers are VERY hard to put full cages in without gutting the intierior and leaving it that way.
Back a few years ago I was looking into purchasing one of Hennesseys cars for ORR. When I talked to him about putting a cage in it the only thing he said was "If you crash one of these at speed the only thing thats going to happen is the cage will turn into a blender inside the car".
that led me to believe that solid mounting points were very hard to get to and an already crammped space would be even considerably tighter.
Ever tried to get in and out of a C4 vette with a full cage? It would be about as much fun with a viper.
Regardless though, safety in a car that fast should be paramount. Problem is that the idiots that have the money to mod like that dont care about safety. They want a car to look in and cruise in style. Big roll cages dont give off "style" and chicks dont like them much either.
The other thing is that big power kits add a bit of value to cars like that. But you drill one hole in it and the value goes out the window. I see it all the time at ORR events. Guys show up in Ferrari's, lambrogini's, high end Porsches, Ford GT's etc. they complain because they cant run any faster than a 110mph average and a 124mph tech speed but NONE of them are willing to start drilling holes for big cages because it will "Decrease the the value of the car". Believe it or not, some of those cars are purachased as "investments".

That guy is Gary Javo, he has the 3rd fastest 6 speed record in the world with I belive that viper, so he can drive. The car is owned by J Kennedy who also owns a Twin Turbo FGT. Both these cars were built by Heffner. Gary is builiding a SICK 2nd gen street viper.

WOW!! what else is there to say. I don't even like Vipers and I thought that was just awesome. Wish I had 1,700hp, but so does everyone else. I wouldn't even know what to do with that kinda power.
