the flat black camaro looks better than the semi gloss one.. the semi gloss one looks like they sprayed it with rustoleum... that flat black one looks ok... but i think if its flat black it should have some sort of a rat rod theme... i like the way you stuck with the 69 style emblems... but polished wheels on flat black is a no-no in my book.. id get black wheels with a red lip on flat black... been done to death but not on 4 gens cirtainly and it looks good... do a photochop to see... if anyone out there wants to do it on his car...

Thanks to everyone that likes it first of all....

The paint was my Valentine's Day present from my daddy (yea I know weird but it made me happier than candy or flowers). I dont know the code but I'll ask him...

Me and my dad did the prepping/painting over spring break. Its not a professional job but I've had several people tell me they wouldnt have thought we did it ourselves (which made me feel good).

i like a proper flat/satin black look. the GMPP LS7 Camaro is soo mean and sinister.
Z28kitten's car looks good also.

although not completely satin, i think a maple red or midnight blue WS6 or SS with the nostrils/scoops satin would look soo awesome

Actually it was done in the barn. It was a single stage paint. No clear coat.
My dad used to work with a painter so he actually knows what he's doing, just hasnt done it in a long time. Here's some of the pics from while we were painting http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g6/z28kitten/Cars/

So does the paint hold up well? I want to probably do my Z a flat black with gloss black accents here and there or maybe the other way around not really sure yet.

Z28kitten, I think it looks real good. If you matched the wheel color with it then I think it would look even better IMO. The chrome and dull paint finish is clashing.

How about gray primed front end like me! LOL!!! I would not intentionally paint any car in a flat color. Maybe an old rod.
