I know cammed LS1's can make some serious power and I'm SURE there are plenty on this site that will smoke me, but I really hope the guys in this thread that are bolt-on only don't actually believe they could take me on the highway...

I'm not expecting much more than 360 (if that) to hit the tires through the C4 though. Those numbers mean nothing though!

Spoken like a true racer, its so easy to get caught up on dyno #'s. An auto with a big stall is going to eat up hp on the dyno but that car will ET faster usually than a manual car with more. The next mod I had planned for my Cobra was 4.10's when I did the gear calculator especially with the LT's and loud *** Borla Race in a convertible I wasn't willing to go deaf on the freeway.
Whats your top speed with the 4.30's?

With the old 26" tires I was at 6200 RPM at 117 MPH. 7,000 would put me at around 132 MPH. Their actual diameter was 26.5". The new 28" ET Drags are 27.3" actual height, which should be a max of 136. That would be with a manual of course. How fast I can actually go with the C4 depends on how much the converter is going to slack at high speeds.

Either way I think I'll have plenty of room. As far as NA runs go, I'm hoping, but not expecting, to stay around the same 117 MPH since I've added the ported manifold and dropped a significant amount of weight plus I fully expect my 1/8th MPH to be higher than before. However, I'm expecting it to only be somewhere between 113-116 especially now that the cold air is gone.

By the end of the year I'll be bumped up to a 200 shot. I don't see that being a threat to the 136 MPH redline, but I'll probably run 3.90's anyway nonetheless to regain traction if anything.

I've been without the car so long that I'd be happy with any timeslip at this point.

Almost forgot, those top speeds are in 4th gear, not 5th... 3rd gear for the C4, obviously...

Thats what my problem would be, my friend had either 4.10's or 4.30's in his Procharged GT and 130 or so was all in for him. I am not proud of it but don't do much racing other than street racing from a roll so I need the top end. What is your redline?

7,000 has been the redline. I'm probably going to bump it up to 7500 so I can set my window switch to spray all the way 7,000 and have 500 RPM's for it to ping the limiter (for God knows what reason) and stay out of the spray.

I'm not sure how LS1's respond to gears, but my car does better top end with 4.30's than it did with 3.55's. At least up to 120 MPH... then it sucks after that because I have to shift into 5th (using the 25.6" street tires that is)

I know Angus, 03AV8R and JTCobra (the 3 top NA Machs) gained MPH by switching from 4.56's to 4.88's (or from 4.30's to 4.56's).

I can see that your car is strong from a dig, a low-speed roll and at the strip, but in my case, I need that high speed power till 150mph...It seems that most people are holding you till the end of the earth on the highway!!! (read 4s turbo here...). I like Mach by the way.

LOL, I was expecting this thread to go to 100 pages before I even got home when she told me she had posted this.

I told her about the video and she was like "But, we never raced at that location after I got my cam and converter." So yeah, I felt dumb as **** and was trying to find a way to tactfully bring that up without getting harassed by all the LS1 owners. She obviously didn't wait to let me say that for myself LOL. The mods for the other cars are 100% correct though.

Jess's car is faster than mine down the 1/4, no doubt when she's running 11.7's when I've yet to touch an 11 period. I still think that a highway run would go in my favor since she hasn't beaten my 117 MPH though. We never did a roll race when she had her headers and a better tune, so I never got to prove it one way or the other. I only thought she had the cam and converter in her car and that I beat her because we were both on street tires so it was belieable that I beat her from a dig. This race took place when I was only trapping 112 nearly 12 months ago so the details on my end were way wrong. We've raced each other a billion times so it's not easy to remember each and every race and when exactly she got the cam or the converter or headers and stuff like that.

I got the footage from my friend. I was only excited about the TT victory and that was really the only race I wanted, but saw the other races on there and threw them in the video as well. I am a million percent positive the silver camaro I raced had twin turbos when I raced him! Sorry for the misinformation about your car in that race, Jess. Both of our cars are awesome, now stop hating on my Furd!

They were under the hood? I just remember seeing the chrome looking piece come from the TB and downward and assumed rear mount. I never looked deep into the bay, just looking at the motor in astonishment that it was an LS1 and not a V6. Thanks for clarifying Justin. CustomX was my co-pilot for all of the videos. You were clearly paying more attention than I was. After seeing the TT LS1 motor after I pulled on him I was doing excited cartwheels and stuff in the parking lot.

I thought you said you were already a member here, but you have 0 posts? LOL WTF?

Should start a thread about what your car can do. If they called BS on my car, you know they will on yours, but your time slips don't lie!

Why are you guys breaking 04azuremach *****?
I've met him a couple times at meets and he talks no ****. His GF comes to my shop and never talks ****.
He put together a good video with his kills and his car runs strong.
If a TT Ls1 can't keep up it's his fault. Cause my lowly STS kit runs pretty strong. What's the LS1's excuse.

Wait, you work at FBC? ****, I didn't even realize that! Which one are you? Were you there the night I did a little down hill burn out outside?

I had some sensor dangling under neath the car and Jason had one of the guys fix it and charged me nothing! And this was for a Mustang owner! I wish the Mustang shops were like that around here...

Are you kidding me? Go on the SRT-Forums and you'll learn real quick that -4's run 10's bone stock with a good launch.

I've been searching all over the internet for the TT Camaro and I finally found it. Unfortunately it doesn't give any information on the car

http://www.ls1.com/forums/showthread...t=turbo+camaro

also found him on another forum, but again, no posts to read, just a picture

http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/member.php?u=12705

You can tell why I thought it was a V6 at first being that it is debadged...

I didn't even think to look here since this forum is so big but now that I know what SN he uses... I found him
