It does suck that for most powerfull 6sp supras to get decent ET's they NEED a 2-step, but they are great on the street from a slight roll. Ive owned a 74mm supra-but it was a th400 auto and was quite nasty at the track & the street , but it wasnt as fun as my 6 sp. Heres how a properly launched 6sp looks: (ryan woon)

A 11.2 @ 140 car sounds like a hell of a good time on the street to me!
Don't let the 13 second guys get to you. They don't understand what it's like
trying to hook 7-800rwhp.

So what did we learn today kids?
#1) He needs suspension mods/tires and more track time.
#2) Reaction time doesn't effect E.T.
#3) One cannot ****-talk unless the confirmation of verbal 'shittage' has been sent and received by the two parties in a hostile manner, thus completing the transaction.
#4) Comments without research or acute knowledge of the subject will get you noticed, and quickly ostracized. All the while - and after - belittling and non-constructive comments will flood your way by the very people whom you once had respect for. These forums are tricky buggers with their sharp learning curve and barbaric intolerance for the lack of exact knowledge.
So be careful kids!
Nice car btw. Looking forward to more videos.

well thanks to ryan for posting up the video of my runs and thanks for the many compliments. i did at one time live in amarillo and did have a t88 on it for some time and hated most of it. very sluggish and way outdated technology but it did manage a 12.01 at 124 on amarillos dragstrip if you could call it that. anyone to ever run there knows what im talkin about. but any way it was a typical supra and still is mostly but im very happy with a 140 trap and also could careless what it does et wise. it was trailered for the 3 hr road trip to the nearest quarter mile with the intentions of running the et streets i had in the trailer but was having wheel hop issues with the drag radials and was trying to learn the launch with those before just throwing on slicks and breaking the still stock driveshaft. i dont believe in trailering a street car but stranded 3 hrs from home doesnt sound fun either. i have made several 2800 mile road trips in this car and raced on the overnight stops in both directions of the trip but roll racing, not from a dig and definately not on slicks. the car still gets 21 miles to the gallon which is way better than the mega diesel guzzler which pulled it there.
actually i have been to a track before and i realize what reaction time is and know how the tree works, just wasnt worried with the lights more worried on what my rpms were and concentrating on slipping the clutch enough to modulate wheelspin and not bog the turbo. however, i was masterfully able to do both bog it and spin in almost all the runs. we were setting up the 2 step in the end of the video not hitting fuel cut. we will be returning to the track again friday june 8th. so, maybe all the experts can show up to give me launch lessons? im sure a 13 second f body drives the same as my car does?....lol sorry for the novel on my debut post....lol

and the same supra after a built short block, 76gts turbo and a 75 shot.

to the owner of the supra in the vid that the thread starter posted. don't let the negative comments get to ya. its very hard to get a car on 18-19 inch wheels and street tires to hook with the power ur making. either way it's a beautiful car.
