Default Pic of my dad during my engine build

really liked the way this picture turned out. Would have never made it this far in my life without him and his ideals. If you got a dad, grandfather, whatever other relative story, let's hear em. any pics, post em up

I couldn't build half the **** I build now without my pops. He taught me the basics of Oxy-Acetylene welding as well as mig welding and that pushed me to learn tig. That was about 15 years ago and now I'm pretty bad *** with a tig, mig or any welder for that matter. I've got a Mustang/LSx build over in Drag Racing Tech if you guys want to see any pics. I used to go to my dad to get stuff fabricated now he comes to me.

my dad used to be cool, when he was my age. had a handfull of chevelles and vettes.

now he'll bitch at me for doing stuff to my car or shake his head. lie he did today when he saw that i took the rear bumper support out of my car.

now whats funny is that when were out somewhere and ppl start talking about cars, my dad will get all excited and start telling them how i run 10s cam only daily drive it and still get 20mpg.

My dad was never into cars like I am, my uncle was but died when I was about 2. While he may not have shared the same interest as me at his age, he is always asking what else I'm doing when I'm finishing one mod. After I finished the cam he said it reminded him of the 60s... then asked what's next

I've been my Dad's tool getter for 19 years now I'm not anywhere near as mechanically inclined as he is but if I have a question hes always there to answer it for me . From sanding down cars and masking em off at 8 with my dad to helping him set a motor in a 72 Chevelle its all been great experiences. We're now working on a 64 Nova (below) good times i tell ya fun

My dad smiles and shakes his head at me when he sees me coming up the driveway with boxes. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't attempt half the **** I do. To wrench turning dads everywhere.

Here is my dad. he died almost a year ago (9/6/2006). I don't know where I would be today without him. He was always there for me when I needed him and he was even there for me and backing me up when he knew I was in the wrong he would stand behind me anyway. I miss him very much. R.I.P.

Unfortunately my dad doesn't know a crap load about cars. Enough to fix any basic problem with a car, but not enough to show me how to put a cam in. He knows everything there is to know about plumbing, electrical, carpentry or anything construction...unfortunate for me, but maybe when I get a house he can help me haha...go dads!

I'm envy, my father has been in jail more than out. He is in prison right now. Some people never grow up. The only thing he ever taught me was how to catch a fish.

Thats an awesome pic. I am a bit jealous; I lost mine when I was 13, I'm 22 now- we were pretty close. I know if he still was around he'd be right there helping me twist wrenches or helping me on projects, telling me the better and wiser way to accomplish things that I would have somehow overlooked.

Why is it that dads always have that uncanny sense to see that we're doing things the hard way before we can? Here's to you dad....
