They are totally different. There is no 10.5 LSx car even in the same
ballpark as this car. That's a fact.

That's a really stout run, no question about it. I wonder if they will
be able to make a dent in their series with it.
So a nissan v6 has more potential then a lsx or a cobra 4.6?

Actually, the amount of cylinders plays little role in the amount of power you make.

The time posted by the op, is not the fastest 350z. The fastest one Ive seen, has trapped 215mph.

All these motors have great potential... People figure out how to squeeze more out of one motor one day, and others figure out how to squeeze some more from another motor a different day... How it is right now will be different in a year.

The Toyota 2JZ is in the sixes and it's older than all these motors.

That's the performance industry for you... Making these production motors do wonderful things. Granted, they must a have a good foundation to work with... The VQ is a good ******* motor.

Actually, it plays a major role, along with fuel-class, forced induction, etc.

A four cylinder will never make 6k rwhp.

That run was at E-town NJ. That was a great run but a trip to Atco NJ would have been 1 to 2 tenths quicker

I have no idea why you quoted my post since your comment isn't related
to mine what-so-ever. Talking about a platform's "potential" is just another
form of bench racing IMO. We're talking about a car that actually runs
6's. As of right now, there is no comparable LSx car in the world that
can run that number. Therefore, there is no need to talk about "potential".
I'm sure that will change at some point since the gap is getting closer.
In either case, it's irrelevant to this topic.
