The Nissan VQ motor is a stout, iron bock... I had heard they were in the high sixes finally, but I had never seen/heard the run.

******* fast... With the right set-up, it's got tons of potential.

^ You could make a similar comment about all six second cars, no?

And rarely is this the work of an individual.

When is a six second car not a shop/team car anyway?

Crazy fast, but it sounded like a weed wacker. That just takes away from it....but it's still a six second car. Gotta give em that.

Right, but Casper was a full tube chassis car on a big tire with
twins and nitrous to spool them. This car is a back-halved 10.5 car.
They are totally different. There is no 10.5 LSx car even in the same
ballpark as this car. That's a fact.

That's a really stout run, no question about it. I wonder if they will
be able to make a dent in their series with it.

Good info! It seems you know quite a bit about this car. When did this run happen?

there is nothing nissan about the VQ35 motor. it is a renault engine.

as far as them being the quickest import on a 10.5 tire. i can guarantee titan motorsports scion is faster. but that's a full tube chassis car. but they've been running adrl stuff on a 10.5w tire and doing VERY well. and as pointed out this just merely a backhalfed car. if this is the 350z i think it is, these guys within the first year of a 350z being released in the states had one runn LOW 8's on bfg drag radials on a true 10.5 tire.

Well, it's in Nissan, right?

If I said my "Pontiac Firebird's LS1..." would you correct me there, too, saying, "Pontiac doesn't make motors. It's a GM"?

You know what I meant, dude.

I really don't know anything about that car at all to be honest
with you. However, I believe this is the same car that runs in
the NOPI series that a friend of mine won. By default, if that's
the same car...he would have to follow the same rules and be
back-halved on 10.5W's.

6.90's is haulin' ***** for sure.

Brilliant.

That car makes 2,000+ horsepower. You have a light bolt on car with a tiny
shot of dope and you're making comments like that? Puh-lease.
