Brian: My issue is that my connection speed fluctuates during game play. I am a gamer, I take this serious. I can not deal with it any longer. I have been on at least 3 of these very same chat sessions, bet you are going to run some test. And then tell me my connection is within tolerance. I want someone to come out and check my system, or tell me how to check an intermittant problem on my modem. Why is it taking you 5 mins to respond to my answers?

Brian: the wonderfull windows vista.............i am seriously considering going back to xp
Vikas: Which modem are you using like Westell 6100 or Action tec and are you using any third party router ?
Brian: ohh i have an old 2100, verizon never asked me if I needed another modem when i swapped my service????? I think it is pretty old

Vikas: I understand your concern however if you want to change the modem then you need to pay some amount for that.
Brian: Ok, please expain (This was never explained to me) When I subscribed to my Verizon DSL service. I was given a Westell 2100 (not really sure about 3 years ago i guess). I then transferred (paying an additional fee i think and was not given another modem.)m I expected to keep this modem for the life of my verizon contract? I was never asked about modem options.

Vikas: Have you cheked all the filters attached to all analog devices like Fax machine, ID caller or any Answering machine ?
Brian: i have no phone, fax, answering machine. Only internet. As I told you only Verizon cell phone.
Brian: so i dont need filters

Vikas: Have you tried to connnect your DSL connection to another wall jack if you have at your home ?
Brian: i have tried everything in the world my man. That is why I am calling you. I have ran temporary wire from my pole to my house connection box, I have tried various connections as well.
Vikas: Could you please tell me that how many computers are connected with your DSL service ?
Brian: 3

I checked all the settings and the speed is very slow and for this you need to call on our voice tech suppot on 800-567-6789.
1.6 hours disconnects my ***, and tells me what I originally called them for.
I am ranting, you had to be here unless you have been through it. They take 5 mins to respond to every question. IM GOING EARTHLINK
Funny story:
My dad was going through one of the same tech issue resolution centers and while on the call got frustrated with the guy and ended up pounding his fists onto the keyboard. That **** was straight comedy!! We are still missing the esc button from that lil outburst.
