LOL!! Dude.....the camera moved because you jumped like a little scared school girl when the thing went BOOOM!! LOL!! Just messing with you. I too would have jumped...in fact I jumped just watching the video. ******* cool.

I wonder how that guy could stand so near without ear protection! (one of the team mechanics)

 

I did jump like a little school girl. It kinda caught me offgaurd. I guess the guy without ear protection is deaf, lol. He actually has earplugs in his ears. I thought that too then saw them.

 

Great vid man, I dunno how you guys stand there for that long with them running.. The nitromethane fumes owed my *** when I was there in Enis a few years back... Had to make a mad dash for fresh air, couldn't breath & was knocking people over cause my eyes were burning so bad that i could barely keep them open.

Thanks, If you get between the headers at the back of the car then it usually doesnt hit you unless the wind is blowing.

 

Sweet vid. I liked how the slicks were ballooned up when they were just barely spinning.

A top fuel / funny car is something that everyone needs to experience before they die. We had seats at the 60' mark at Maple Grove a few years back and we were about 10 rows up and you could feel the compression in your chest when they launched. Talk about amazing.

You don't know loud till you hear two top fuel cars launch at less than 100 feet away.

 

LOL the kid that had his phone out was rubbing his eyes. I dont know how those guys can just walk around with all that nitro burning your eyes and choking you out. I guess you get used to it.

 

Amen to that - I was at LVMS a couple years ago watching them run (got to hang out in the tower and met Ron Capps and Tony Schumacher in the pits as well). Those dragsters are an awesome thing to behold and you really feel the power. Things are crazy loud and those throttle blips are brutally awesome (random way to describe them, but accurate, I think...).
