I found this old *** video from the racetrack i used to live right next to here in Norway, its a badass course with about 60-40% dirt and asphalt.
I was only a kid, but we used to sneak inside every year to watch.


The cars driven at the time were making about 500 to about 700 horsepower and the would do 0-60 in just a hair over 2 seconds.
The older Ford RS200 they said made 630 bhp and would do 0-60 in 1.8 seconds.
Full slicks of course.
These cars would annihalate newer WRC cars..
Needless to say these cars are insane.
The white escort cosworth is martin shcanche, mr rallycross himself.

Those RS200's were insane little cars. Really good driving for that guy even w/ the hood up.

Rallycross is way more interesting than just the regular point to point WRC rally stuff, but I will watch it when I get the opportunity. Reminds me of Top Gear Rally on the N64

i was really into them in the 80's even sat in a full rally killer b spec r5 turbo with over 700hp and only 1600 lbs

Ok so I am confused....... Was it a rallycross race or a demolition derby!?!? Damn they tore thier cars up.

Nice! Those RS200's are one of my favorite non-US cars of all time, I would kill to import one here and see what it can do on US soil.

2 things....

1) Those care were beat to absolute **** by the end of the race.
2) That looks like it would be fun as hell!

From the looks of all the smoke at the end of the first vid, they swap motors as often as the NHRA top fuel funny cars.
