murdered my car today
I think it looks great, I had a 69 mustang coupe that I did in flat black...get a few coats on her, wet sand, and I would actually oil mine once a week, looked like it had a flat clear on it.
for all the haters, lol get over yourself.. flat black was the first "hotrod" color.
A pro Matte Black paint job cost more than a standard base/clear.
He said the paint was jacked already, so why not make it look better for the time being for less than half the price that YOU payed someone to paint your fuel rail covers lol.
if he fits the f-body stereotype, you must fit the ricer stereotype because your hating on someone with a good looking hotrod. I bet you hate on people for not getting a custom cam...lol
and for the 3500 bucks to fix what hes done...thats retarded, your someones kid, you shouldnt talk like that.
theres no reason why he couldnt 2-tone that bitch with flames himself for about a grand.
bottom line, his **** looks better than it did, and if you want to hate do it over on vtec.net

thanks for the support of some of you, god forbid someone do something different than have glossy black paint and torq thrusts on there car= there car not looking good. Like i said before, i only put one coat on so far, im going to do ATLEAST one more coat, and if it looks like crap still i will take it somewhere and tell them to flat black it, but to say it looks horrible is ridiculous, ive seen colors on fbody's and made me cringe. Flat black is a neutral color, not fancy but looks badass. And i do hav eplans on putting some nice prostars on it, i think that the prostars will set the car off.

My camaro in its current form would have drug your "600" rwhp turd all over the street, your **** wouldn't hook and you'd have been playing catch up a long way. You might just want to watch what you say about that car, because it out dyno'ed your TT fireturd about a week ago. Have any of you ever painted flat black? have you ever painted period. You wouldnt be able to tell if I told you 3 cars in those pics were rattle canned. Obviously the zo6 guy prolly spent 5k+ on the matte but as for the 3rd gen and the ls1 in the pics, if they were rattle canned no one would ever know it.
if you have a thick coat with rattle can then you wet sand and polish it, you get the look of the lt1 in the above pics.
or if you rattle can, wet sand and matte clear it you can get that look...
the 1st gens in those pics are lower quality flat blacks that were just sprayed and have to be treated with oils to stay looking nice.
So if he wet sands the car and oils it like they did back in the day it will look just like those pics... or sand and matte clear and hes golden...
Nothing productive comes out of running your mouth in a negative way.
No car is perfect, not even yours...

mainly because of the prep, but the paint is also very expensive, only 2 or 3 good brands out there, matte clear is also expensive because of the rarity.
The car has to be prepped very well because any flaw will be noticed with flat black...

Car actually looks better in person then it does in the pics...I personally never liked the flat black look.,...I think it looks cheap to begin with, without a supper glossy factory look...but his car deff. looks better flat black then how it did before....
