Default Unjustified negative feedback

I sold some leftover parts from my WS6 about 2 months ago. All the items were pictured in my For Sale thread, paid for via PayPal, and shipped within 24hrs to their respective buyers. This includes the item in question (T56 shifter) that was sold to STEEPSS from Manhattan, KS.

I listed the Hurst shifter with pictures along with the included parts (IIRC I threw in a shift ****) and the issue arose when the buyer received it and realized that it was a WS6 shifter and not necessarily a Hurst. I apologized for the misunderstanding and the buyer agreed to accept a Hurst billet short stick for the whole mess, presumably because the shipping it wasn't worth the expense. This billet short stick was not included originally. I sent the short stick to the buyer and I still received negative feedback labeling me a "thief and a liar," despite saying that I wouldn't be ripped publicly.

This took place in March/April and I'm not 100% certain on the order of events, but I do know that we have been out of contact since. This is reflected in our PM exchange. I'm not saying that he didn't deserve to be upset but I truly felt that we were OK after the second shipment. I also didn't run but instead left my contact information with him...

These are the latest PMs (addresses and phone numbers removed for our privacy):

Hi Josey, I just logged in and saw that you had left my a negative trader feedback. I'm a little confused, I realize that we had an issue with the shifter but I thought that was resolved a few weeks ago. I was truly under the impression that you were satisfied judging by your PM's, particularly after sending the short stick to you. Did you confuse me with somebody else by any chance? This is one of the contacts I have from you:
Indeed. You said basically everything in the first picture but the billet piece. That would include the short stick. I realize that its not a hurst shifter, NOW. IIRC, Your ad stated that it was a hurst shifter. If it came with the short stick, I wouldn't have been as upset. I blindly said yes, reading the "hurst shifter" description. If you hadn't deleted the original thread, I could reference it. I'll try to sell it elsewhere and recoup some of my cost, but I'm still not satisfied. I won't rip you on here publicly, cause I don't believe in that if I was at fault. However, I distinctly remember reading "hurst shifter".
In the feedback note, I you called me a thief and a liar. I assure you that I'm neither (coming from a decade of buying/selling stuff online) and I truly apologize for this whole situation. I would like to see how we can resolve this, and I would very much appreciate it if you called me. My number is 847-xxx-xxxx. Thanks! Adi
I'll be happy to amend my feedback if i ever do indeed get the short stick. To date it has not shown up. I feel partly responsible for not asking for more pictures. -called, no answer. Thanks Josey
Hi Joesy, I didn't really get a call from you, but my phones have been on the fritz and this is my 3rd replacement in a month so it may have been without a signal as usual. Can I call you myself, or if you don't mind give me another ring at 847-xxx-xxxx. The phone is on me all the time and I'm not near a PC these days, hence my preferenace for phone contact. Thanks! Adi
I'll give you a call when I have a moment. Might be tomorow.
I never got a call after that day, and I never received a call either way (whether it was a phone issue on my end or if he neglected to call altigether). Two weeks later is when the feedback was left blaming everything on me as though we didn't agree to and solve the issue.

I did my best to be objective about the events, and I hope that Josey with chime in with his side of the story as well (going to PM him a link immediately after this post). I would really appreciate if the negative feedback were to be removed in light of the entirety of events and my otherwise flawless feedback.

Thanks for reading.

These are the posted pictures of the shifter, with the text saying that everything in the first picture is included but the billet piece.

Whatever dude. Just correctly advertise your ****, and don't delete the ******* thread next time. If I could have referenced the thread VERBATIM, then this would have been clear a long time ago.

Everyone else reading this: if you opened the box to find a different part than you thought you were getting, go back to the thread to find it had been deleted, wouldn't you be a little hacked off?

Basically just water under the bridge that I intend to burn now.

I wish the seller in some of my deals that went sour would be willing to correct the situation to the extent you did. Sucks you got a negative out of it, uncalled for if you ask me. You were ready to make it right from the get go..

And to be clear, we WOULD HAVE been good IF I'd received the short stick, as agreed. I never got it, or this obviously wouldn't have been an issue. Blame it on UPS, but I never got it.

I've never scammed anyone in over a decade of dealing online and on forums. I don't think I scammed the buyer either, or at the very least there was absolutely no intenet, since it probably would've been easier to not fork over money for priority shipping twice.

And Josey, I sent the short stick even after I didn't hear from you via PM or telephone. It wasn't the piece pictured above since that one had gone to a buddy already, but I found and sent the identical part to you to the same address as the previous shipment. This is the first time I'm hearing that you never received it, you never told me until this thread, and it makes your feedback somewhat more understandable, though the repeated name calling remains unneccessary.

If you want, I can get that billet short stick and ship it out to you with tracking either later tonight or tomorrow morning. I don't know if consider that a fair solution but it's worth a try on my end.

You have my number and you can call or text me any time.

Adi

That is why you always use tracking numbers.

The seller seems to be trying to make things right.

Just a suggestion next time to only post a picture of the exact parts you are selling. If you are not including something dont picture it.

I really hope you guys can come to an agreement, it seems the seller is trying to be fair.

Thanks for your input guys. Killroy, you made two very good points, and while I used a tracking number on the first shipment, I neglected to do so on the short stick (IIRC because the envelope was small).

As I stated above, its water under the bridge now.

If you sent it, you sent it.

If I could edit your feedback I would....... But I cant.

I don't really like jumping into others business, BUT in your first post where you put up the PM's between you two he states in his last PM that he never received it.
