Default Anyone know how to contact WS6.USAF

So almost a month ago I ordered a ported fast 92mm intake manifold from user WS6.USAF aka RoadRagePerfermance, for $650. and he said he would ship it out, and I have not heard from him again nor received the intake. I don't know if there is just a misunderstanding, but I have messaged him and I am no longer getting a response. What should I do? I already tried to dispute it with PayPal, but I stupidly sent the money as a gift so I wouldn't have to pay a fee. Anyone know him/how to contact him?

Sorry man....zero posts, zero trader, not paypal verified, and sent as a gift? I'd take it as a loss man.

Did he have pics?

No. I just didn't see it as necessary. I have bought several things off of ls1tech with the same circumstances. I guess you just can't trust anyone. It sucks that people like that ruin it for everyone. I know I'm not buying anything off of ls1tech again, unless I can meet in person.

Do you have a name, address or anything? if he is USAF there are ways of recovering your money outside paypal.

I just viewed the guy's profile.
He hardly has any information.

That's pretty sketchy. Did you actually call paypal yet and explain to them what happened?

Take it as a lesson man, No feedback, price was too good to be true; since you sent it as a gift there is not really anything that can be done about it. Sorry to hear you got scammed, you can buy stuff off of here in the future just pay the paypal fees, and be smarter about it. No way am I insulting your intelligence, a good deal is tempting. Did he give you a name or anything?

If so you can find out his chain of command and call them to explain the situation to them; he will get in deep **** if they find out he scammed someone and you can prove it to them

First off... NEVER, EVER do this. It is illegal for bill collectors to contact your chain of command. There are other avenues to explore when this happens and if someone would like, I can give them the steps to actually get his chain of command involved WITHOUT them brushing you off.

Its not really a bill collector in this case the guy committed a crime... Also, if it's illegal for them to contact COC why did mine get contacted every time I missed a star card payment? Not trying to argue just saying

I guess he could call the Base Police station and file a report or something too

Get IG involved. Our single soldier barracks had their land line with a contractor on post (head dude was a retired CSM as a matter of fact) and he would send our CSM names of people that didnt pay their bill. After IG got involved that practice ended as they were a bill collector and were not allowed to do that. That would be like Mastercard trying to collect from a civilian by sending their boss a letter.... privacy laws apply at that point. Keep in mind this was back in 2000.... things may have changed since then.

As far as how to get them if they scam you:

1- Gather all information you have on the person

2- Contact the District Attorney local to them and file "Theft By Deception" charges

3- The DA will send them a lovely letter stating that they can do 1 of 2 things.... show up in court on a specific day or pay early

4- IF they choose not to pay or show up in court a warrant is issued for their arrest, once that happens the MP Civilian Liaison is notified and then a letter is sent to the soldier's Chain of Command. At that point its either pay or go to jail.

Nothing makes the Chain of Command happier than getting a call from the MP Detachment informing them that their soldier is about to go to jail.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck, man. Hopefully you can use his military background (if he is even military?) to your advantage and get your money back.

Probably not in the military, but was a guise by a scammer to build your trust. Scammers are good, I dont give a **** who it is, never gift any money. That defeats the purpose of Paypal. Hell, I paid extra to cover the cost of paypal rather than gift anything. If a seller insist on a gift, then theres a reason why. I think paypal should do away with it. Sorry, but hopefully others are reminded what not do do.
