i bought a beautiful 2002 hardtop today 29000 miles .local seller ,should of went with my instincts,instead of thinking i could get a better deal. life goes on!
dont feel bad, there are a lot of those out there. I seen a black 2001 z28 stripper on auto trader and I could see what looked like a dent in the rear 1/4, I asked them on the phone if it was a dent or just a weird reflection. Salesman says no, body on the car is perfect (40,000 miles on it). I ask again if he is sure since I have to drive 250 miles to look at it and if its a decent car overall, its a clean one he says..
No BS I wouldnt give 3K for the car when I seen it, holes worn in the seat, bald tires, underhood just covered with salt, the whole side was hit and looked like it was painted with a spray can and the interior was trashed, stuff like that pisses me off.

hey, i am sorry to hear all of this!!!! i left my house at 10:00 in the evening friday to drive past detroit MI, about a 5 hour drive for us,to go buy an 99 ss with 60000 miles on it. well we got lucky & it is a very nice car!!! so we bought it & made the drive home with no problems!!! my son is very happy with it.but what i am getting at is that there are some good ones out there!!!! i was on my computer 6 to 10 hours a day lookin & lookin & more lookin!!!! no 2 people see the same thing,hang in there you will find the 1 you are looking for!!!! ( here is a tip,look in all of the northern regions of the states first because they still have a few months of winter left & the sports car are cheap !!!!) i hope this helps & good luck!!!! john

see even when i sold my TA before ... i made sure to take tons of pics, and pics of every single dent.
I think you want ot be upfront as possible, maybe not go into tooo much detail in the ad just to entice someone. But i'd definetly show them everything that is wrong before they drove that far. That would just be rude.

well since moderators deleted the sellers original post, ill just let everyone know the car was in san antonio tx. ive bought several cars from out of state before,with them not being misrepresented, so i guess it was just my time for a bad deal too come up. i ended up buying a 2002 hardtop ,about 30 miles from home just yesterday. its for my son he is in college and will need a newer car for the summer.
Why would a moderator delete the post? If the seller deletes it the whole thing disappears also.
Sometimes deals are too good to be true, sometimes people's idea of what a 'nice' car is varies so its important to ask a lot of questions on the phone and dont be afraid to ask the same questions a couple times to be 100% clear. There are a lot of decent cars out there for sale.

kp the guy started a flame war,trust me the car was in bad shape,paint runs,looked like it was a wreck with a mako 299 paint job.no where in the ballpark of ever average .

NHRA...you are one piece of work...,I get nothing but compliments on this car...I thas ZERO scratches and ZERO dings..it has not been repainted...All you were trying to do was keep jewing me down...I gave you a hell of a deal at 12,500 for a spotless 02 Z28 with 30k...You just starting getting pissed when I wouldnt go down to 11k....I took some more pics of the car and will post them..you all be the judge..

I never started any flame war..the mods deleted it because you started bashing the car...if you dont want it...so be it...you dont have to talk sh*t about it...You were just pissed because I wouldnt come off the price...and If thats not the case...you wouldnt have kept asking ...Um..well...uhhh...hmmm...Ill give you 11k or so for it..
