fighting bad feedback? Someone left bad feedback after a transaction went through on this board. I feel that I have done no wrong and believe I can prove it with my saved PMs.

pff the guy is a loser for leaving you bad feedback i bought several things from you, all in great condition and they perform awesome!

Nope, and I made it very clear that the speaker APPEARED fine with no rips or tears in the surround or cone. I am not setup to test this speaker and was not about to tear into my car to do it. I did make the buyer aware that I did not test this speaker and never heard it work. I pulled these parts out of a parts car that I bought with no motor or trans in it. This part was sold "as is" and I made the buyer fully aware before he sent the money. Turns out it didn't work and he wanted the money back. I covered my bases ahead of time just in case it didn't work for some reason. I feel I have done no wrong here. The buyer did not have to buy a speaker that he knew may or may not work. I have sold over $7k worth of stuff online with no problems, ever.

I recall the thread on this, if you can link it in so it refreshes my memory including if the buyer is willing to change the feedback then it will be done.

Hook the speaker up to a 9 volt battery, not that hard. If you were such a great on-line seller w/ over 7K in sales, I'd assume you'd refund a cheap speaker in hopes of keeping that great on-line track record alive. It's folks like you that make our mods work harder trying to get to the bottom of BS over a speaker. Just refund the money for the cheap non-working part and move on.

Yeah, thats the link. That is not the guy I sold the speaker too though.
I could refund his money, but I don't want to because I feel I don't have to. This guy knowingly took a chance on buying this and is now pissed that it backfired on him. If I knew there would be any chance that I might have to refund this guy, I would not have packed it up and shipped it to him. I would have just left the thing on the shelf in my garage with all the other Fbody parts.
Basically, if the tables were turned, there would be NO WAY I would ask for a refund.
So now I get bad feedback even though I covered all my bases with this guy ahead of time. I got a friggin' minus 1 under my username everytime I post like I'm a damn scammer or something.

I am not too busy. I did not post the link because that is not the guy I sold it too. I replied to a WTB post and some other guy intercepted it and PM'd me. I didn't even realize that it wasn't the same guy until recently.

Nine Ball was going to drop a bad feedback I left because the guy said that it was sold on e-bay. I then sent Nine Ball the link that this guy posted on here with the link to the e-bay auction on here and he got to keep his feedback.

When you post WTB/FS threads on multiple sites it can become hard to figure out where the deal got done.
If it were me, I'd be upset that the speaker did not work. And if I sold a bum speaker I would take it back too. That's just how I am.

Bottom line----
He AGREED to buy it AS IS and was told in more than 6 different PMs that it was not tested and came out of a parts car. I also stated that I had never heard it work. I was very accurate in describing the physical conditon of the speaker ie-the conditon of the cone, condition of the surround, etc. When I was asked if it worked, I said "I DON'T KNOW", the buyer then Paypaled the money knowing this.
IF, the buyer would have said "Will you refund my money if it doesn't work?", I would have said "NO, I would rather not sell it to you as it is not worth my time to pack it up and send it out if there is even a 1% chance that my efforts may end up being for nothing"

Byer did not buy from this board though it was listed in at least two places, sold "as is" with no refund clause. It seems to be the case here though specific information from both is not known.
Sponsors have our support because we know up front how they do business. Members who sell a bunch of stuff (aka: car ranchers) have no protection and buyers are taking a risk.
What we hope is everyone is a stand up seller and buyer but if you do not pay for Sponsorship you are on your own and have to live with the consequences.
Both you all need to grow up and do the right thing as humans, not just people buying and selling stuff to names on a screen.
