Thats ******* retarded! That was a check from my dads account and that man has enough in there to pay cash on a new z06!!! I will send you a money order since nothing ******* else works. I am ******* furious that this bullshit has caused me to lose my moderator status. A guy loses his ******* job and tries to make up for by paying you back even more and then loses something he values, now I feel I am getting ******* stiffed. Thats it for me. BAN ME FROM THE ******* SITE. I WILL NOT ALLOW ANYMORE HUMILIATION ON MY PART! I will still send you the $300 because I am sorry about the whole mess and only wanted to make things right. No need to respond to anything I wrote because I will now logoff FOR GOOD!

I think everyone is seeing that, and feeling a bit ashamed about it really. Its not even about Dustin being a staffer (or ex-staffer) as much as it is seeing him get angry about something he alone has control over.

Dustin, you spoke of your humiliation over this, but its truly an issue that nobody here can control but you. Everyone can understand money problems, but coming back guns blazing is what humiliates you more than anything -- everyone gave you props for standing by your word and paying the man back, and even though the check was apparently bad you still offered to make it right. Focus on that, following through, getting through the tough times, and hopefully lowering your obvious stress level. Nobody kicked you off the site, but I have to agree with the decision to drop your moderator duties - you likely don't have the spare time to devote anyway despite this issue.

I know Dustin really well and know that he did try everything he could to help the guy out. He just had a bad case of luck and WOW that is freakin crazy how that check bounced like that!! I can vouche that account has more money than they know what to do with, but i bet it's because the check was "altered" somehow?? Not sure how that was done unless they just wrote a new phone number or something weird and the bank didnt like it.

A check is the fastest thing he can do since he never comes home to have time to get a money order. But for the "handling his own problems" he did because i offered to give him the money to pay you back for the springs and he was too proud or didnt want to drag me into it.

Sorry all of that happened to you but hopefully everything gets cleared.

I am 50/50 on the moderator status being pulled. Have to say that it was along time for you not getting a refund that sucks and looks bad. you were very patient. and Dustin cant get on as much as he would like and he is making good money now and should have made the time. I never hear from him that much anymore but im sure there was some sort of break to take and pay you. But i know he did work hard to get the status and helped ALLOT of people and Tony he helped you out allot with the 69' as did I late at night everynight for a while fixing up a mess!! But this is a business and you have to look at it in that sense. 1bad79 Is the customer and you did good on tending to his needs going above and beyond. But at the same time your getting rid of a friend and a knowledgable experience mod.

Wish it didnt have to go this far on both sides and D-word calm your *** down!

Im Dustin's brother...dont ban me, lol. Bryan he wanted to let you know thank you for trying to help but he wouldnt take it, he wanted to fix it himself. He left for Utah about an hour ago so he cant be here. He also said to remove his account from the site because he doesnt want to be apart of something where he is known as a scammer or shamed by having his mod status stripped. Thats all he said ob the phone. I am out to Oklahoma. Oh if anyone has a 30th Anny T/A let me know!

Dustin is overreacting. He isn't the one that should be mad, since this is 100% his fault, and he has the means to correct it. Had he taken care of this properly (by maybe sending a money order), and done so months ago, this situation wouldn't even exist.

I don't exactly appreciate giving someone my word and being screwed over here. This is more insulting to me than him, since he was a staff member that I knew personally and he let this get too far. So, as a staff member he represents the site, and I vouched for him. Two strikes in the same situation.

Do you know how poor he was!?!?!? He quit his job at Christmas of all times and had two checks coming to him, a regular check and a severance check, that is what he was gonna refund the guy with, his company sent him nothing. He still never got either check, they still have them and said they wouldnt release them to him. The big bastard was forced to live off of me and our roommate till he found a job, which wasnt till recently. The guy has been through alot of **** and just when he gets a chance to correct the wrongs he has created one of them backfires and causes him to lose something and have his name thrown out as a scammer. The guy is out in the desert with no phone service or computers for 3 weeks out of the month, and the one week he might get off he is so busy with **** he doesnt even have time to do a damn thing. Overreacting you say, I think he should be even more angry about the situation. And why didnt the guy call him when the check bounced!?!? I watched Dustin personally write and put a letter in the envelope with the check saying "call this number if you have any problems". Did he? NO! He immaturely made another post making Dustin look even worse. If you dont ******* know then dont comment. I see you guys telling Dustin to "pay up", thats crap, the guy has tried to pay, he did what he could to resolve the situation and even went beyond by offering extra money and it just gets thrown back in his face. I am sure 1bad71 if you would have called him like he told you he could have western union'ed you the money, not caring about the extra money it costs to do it. My bro is a good guy and does anything he can for anyone within his means. Tony I know I am new to the site and dont know you but whether you stuck up for him or not my bro has represented you and tech at meets, on other forums...hell anywhere and everywhere backing everything up and being loyal, like a good mod/member should do, and this is what he gets. I say ban him for good. You dont deserve to have him as a member. And for every member on this site that he has fixed your cars for free, installed parts for free, stayed up till the next day working on your cars for free....you know him, you know who he is, remember him that way and not the way these people are making him out to be. And Tony stop saying you know him personally because obviously you dont know him at all!

First off, he's overreacting.
Second, YOU'RE overreacting.

I can see why, since you're his brother and all and feel compelled to defend him. Nothing wrong with that. BUT, maybe he shouldn't have spent money he didn't have or maybe he should have made the arrangements early on when he knew he was getting into financial trouble. Leaving the guy on the hook for that long is what really put the ding in his credibility.

You say he's in the desert for weeks at a time with no phone service and no internet -- yet there was a phone number to call. I'm assuming this wasn't his phone number?

Lastly, asking that his account be deleted, his posts be deleted, etc. simply won't happen. Lashing out at LS1Tech is one thing, wanting to hurt our members who might benefit from that information is another. He put forth some great effort into creating those posts, it doesn't make sense to have it go to waste.

Shame that anything you post on here is no longer 'yours'

Can someone explain this?

Tell me 1bad71, if you cashed this check why is it not showing up in my fathers account? Here is his statement from current to the beginning of the month. He is trying to dig up the check number I gave you but that wont help anything. If there are insufficient funds why in the **** are they not on the statement?? Send me the ******* check back with a stamp from the bank (bank stamps insuffucient checks and returns them to the customer), send it to me with that stamp and I will Western ******* Union you $500, and dont ******* say I dont have it because I ******* do. You people keep talking **** about me but I know I have done what I could and have tried to make the best of it. I am through with being nice and if I am overreacting I could care less, you get put in my position and see how cool you are. I have a feeling this check didnt get cashed. What else can I do to resolve this???? Show me the check and I show you the money!

This is coming from his mouth about his stuff being deleted. According to Tony, Dustin did a bad job on Tony's 69 anyway so why would you want other members using his hurtful information

Yah I am looking at my dads online account right now and there are no bounced checks and there havent been insufficient funds since even when he opened the account, so never has there been any. So how was the check cashed and bounced but there is no record of that happening....hmm thats peculiar.

The phone number he gave I am sure of was my fathers, since it was my fathers check and there was nothing he could do out there anyway. He told dad if the guy called just to take the cash and send a money order, he also left an address for him. So if the guy would have called and honestly tried to cash the check the problem would have gotten resolved.

No one said anything about deleting posts. And if the guy put forth so much effort to making them and feels he wants them taking out then that should be his decision. Just because this isnt his site it is his work. Have your other Convertible moderator Ragtop 99 do something for that forum for a change, because from looking through that section he hasnt contributed. No bashing you Ragtop 99, I dont even know you. It seems to me you lost the only mod for that section, lol.

If you can muster up your super admin powers why dont you go through Dustins PMs, you will see he kept in contact with 1bad71, he also PMed 1bad71 when he changed his name from PSYKOZ28 just so the guy wouldnt think he was trying to hide.
