Default **I think I was SCAMMED!!**

About 2 months ago I bought some heads from a seller on this site (i'm not saying names until i'm 100%). He claimed they were TEA Stg 2 5.3 heads (706 casting) w/ 2.02 ferrea valves on the intake...stock on the exhaust and milled .015. He claimed to have them on his 382 stroker so he says....I wasn't planning on doing the heads anytime soon so when they arrived, i gave them a quick glance to see any visual damage and they seemed fine so I put them away. Yesterday, I'm glancing through the for sale section over here and noticed someone selling some TEA stg 2 heads...I noticed that they had the logo on there and I remembered mine did not. So i called TEA directly, and asked them what the deal was. They told me that i'd have to ship it to them and have them flow test it. BUt first off, if the logo isn't there then there's a great chance that its really not there. So now, I pmed the guy i bought them off of and asked him what the deal was. I'm waiting for his response. Should I just have them flow tested? How much does it usually cost on average? Any other suggestions? All jokes aside, I'm not taking a loss of nearly 1k dollars. I work hard for my money just like everyone else does.

Ask in internal engine/performance how and where to get a flow sheet on the heads without the story of how you got them (otherwise it may end up being moved back here).

There is no "ttt" in this forum. That is because it truly is buyer beware and you have no names, no links or no other specific information to go on.

No need, I can tell you how to obtain a flow sheet.
Send them to TEA as they know their ports better then anyone else.
they will flow the heads which typicially will cost you about 50 dollars.
You will have shipping back and forth but you will only need to ship one head as they only need to flow 1 intake runner and 1 exhaust runner.
That is what I would do if I were you.
I am a TEA dealer and have got a set before without their name on them but it was a couple years ago.

Im the one who sold him the heads.... I bought them from mr nitrous and he seemed like a very honest guy. They matched TEA's specs perfect and have cnc runners and combustion chamber. I had these for only a few months and got a chance to go stage 3 on my 382 so I took it.

You seem like an honest guy as well...but you have to understand somethings wrong here....TEA is telling me there positive that if there is NO "TEA" logo or the arrows that symbolize the company are not there....Its not theres! So i mean what am I to do? I have to pay out of my pocket and have them flow tested? give me some suggestions so we can solve this matter.

I represented them as they were sold to me as. I do know they match TEAs specs with valves etc. They also have cnc runners and combustion chambers so I never questioned that they were TEAs. They might be an old casting that didnt get the TEA stamp.

I was curious about this on a different set and was told from Brian Tooley that they have been putting thier logo in the heads for a lil over a year. They could be a couple years old and still be TEA's

How many different people have owned the heads in question? Seems like 4 people are in this thread alone if I am reading this correctly. I just might be confused.

From this thread you can find out who seems to have owned them and passed around a bit. Not sure though, you would have to check the member profile for "posts in all threads" and the link for sale where you bought them to find out.

Had no intention of closing it. The only thing is this forum got restricted to one page - not sure why but it may 'fall off' the front so save a copy of the link for furture reference.

matt97ta is my buddys name. didnt realize it was logged in at his house.

I bought the heads from mr.nitrous. he bought them from redline2k which is the original owner. they have cnc runners and chambers, aftermarket intake and stock exhaust valve, and double gold springs. All of these are JUST like Teas so I never thought for a moment that they werent TEA heads. My guess is they are an older set that didnt have a logo. But I guess will find out soon enough.

I have TEA stage 3 5.3 L heads and they have no TEA logo, they do have a engraved serial number done by a hand engraving tool.

My old TEA stg 2 5.3s had nothing on them anywhere, and I know they were TEAs because I drove there myself and picked them up from Brian
