skipperbisket BEWARE SCAMMER!!
you. What a turd. Maybe you would like to buy a "brand new" chrome accessory for the truck all nice and rusted, because hey after all it still works right? Just looks like ****. Did it ever occur to you that maybe the guy takes some pride in his ride? If you fail to see the error of your ways that's too bad. This site and PT is supposed to be about helping each other out, sharing your interest and having some fun. It's not just a place for you to make a buck. If your offended by my remarks, too bad and sadly enough I really can't see it making any difference based on most of your responses to the buyer and others that posted. Please do everyone a favor and sign out and then take some time to grow up. . "Brand New" yet rusted.......
And theres probably a reason for no pic, considering that we all would of laughed at it with "brand New" posted above it. It would have never got sold, and he knows it, which is also why he won't issue a refund.
What a douche

When you buy suspension pieces from Wolfe, Madman, etc. they come un-painted. Its the responsibility of the buyer to do the finish work. When you ship something, it will see moisture... So it will get surface rust. Most people building cars of the caliber that needs parts from these company's are ready and willing to do whatever it takes whent the parts arrive, rusted or not... And you will never hear them bitch!
So to whoever thinks he got ripped off, your out of your mind to ask for your money back. Unless your gonna ship the part back, un-used and un-damaged. Then wait for the refund.
Do what the rest of us do when we buy parts like these, paint it your damn self! You'd have to prep the metal with steel wool or sand paper anyway, whether it was rusted or not. Paint doesnt stick well if the surface isnt prepped. So if Skipperbisket HAD sanded the rust off, it would've probably been rusted again by the time it got to you. And that would've still required more sanding to be ready for paint. So skipper would have just been waisting time and effort by sanding your part before shipping.
These types of parts are un-coated when BRAND NEW, and usually arrive with rust on them. You knew you werent buying the part from the manufacturer, and if you had educated yourself you would have known that they dont come painted. Therefore you should have expected rust.
Its the way of the land! If you cant handle that, find a different hobby!

Not like this:

like I said already, its new, never used, a little rusty however fully functional. consider the added oxidation a gift.
Funny thing I ordered a couple of roll pans not so long ago, unpainted and untreated and they didn't come in full of rust and pitted all to hell. I guess they didn't leave em in out in the rain? A friggin SOS pad isn't the answer, being forward about what your trying to sell and following thru with the buyer to ensure 100% satisfaction is. Got a lot to learn people.
Makes the saying "let the buyer beware" so important, that's for damn sure.
I understand that its not what you expected when told "a little rusty" by skipper. But obviously his opinion or mental view of a rust is different from yours or mine.
This is exactly why I believe people should always insist on getting pictures before buying something online. To me, the little rusty statement would have set off alarms in my head. Sounds to me like you were too excited to be getting the part to think about the fact that it was rusty in the first place. Let alone spend a few minutes to ask for a picture.
BTW, I think you missed my point about shipping and moisture. What I was getting at is that the part was shipped at least twice. With probably a good long time in between those two shipments. This part, because it did not come directly to you from the manufacturer, has had alot more time to rust than your roll pans did.
