Default Bad Trader Feedback!!!!!! Resolved

Whom do I need to address/talk to about someone with bad trader feedback that is supposed to have been banned that is trying to sell me something???

This guy 98slowt/a is trying to sell me a LS6 intake so I started poking around looking for some info on him as I'm new here. First off I'd like to make a suggestion. Somehow make the Bad Trader Feedback more obvious. Maybe put in a sticky on one of the newbie boards telling newbs like myself where to go to investigate people on here. I did a search for this guy & I wound up finding several posts about him ripping people off then I found the Bad Trader Feedback & supposedly he has ben BANNED.

If he is banned, how can he be on here trying to sell me stuff??

Luckily, I did my research before making a transaction with this guy. I'm not bitching, I just want to be sure that no one gets burned.

Thanks,

Chuck

If he was banned it was most likely an ancient thread you were reading. The trader feedback system is fairly obvious as it is. Once you click the number it plainly shows exactly what's going on with that member.

One thing that won't show up is why someone was banned and for how long. For some sellers they would get banned for short periods until all transactions cleared up - others were permabanned. Sometimes reading the profile posts will show how long a time span a member was banned - but it won't say why.

No, but it is more likely that you are.

Do what I did though. When I first started buying/selling on here, always have a picture of the item your selling (not a stock photo). Ask for the same from a buyer. I always gave my phone number through PM so the potential buyer knew I was legit.

Yea I hear ya man. I was the same way. When I sold stuff, I went the extra mile to contact guys and give them proof that I did in fact have the parts.

Bought an LS6 intake from this guy last week told me he sent it dhl gave me a fake tracking number and has been telling me he's "looking into it" for the last couple days, he had pictures, the last 4 or 5 comments were positive all within the last 6 months, people in the thread were even saying he is a good seller, I'm gonna give him some more time but I think I may have been ripped , probably didn't belong in this section but felt like saying something

THAT is exactly why I started this thread...... probably the same intake he was trying to sell me.

Hope you didn't get ripped off.

He is going to pm me my tracking number today. Sounds like everything is straight to me guys! I will post in as soon as the parts arrive to verify this guy is a trustworthy seller. I understand sometimes it takes a little time to get things shipped out with life and all getting in the way. Look forward to the pm Dan. Thanks again
