Default Possible Negative Trader? Ws6man2000. RESOLVED

**Correction to user name Ws6man2000**

I sent him a PM on 11/21/07 about a BMR non-adjustable torque arm he had for sale. It said "If you'll take $200 shipped for the torque arm, I'll take it." (See thread here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...638&highlight=)

Anyhow he replied on 11/21/07 with:
"ya ill go with that...
paypal
hisemailaddress@yahoo.com once it clears ill ship check my feedback if you have any doubts..... also include addy"

My reply on 11/21/07:
"I don't have PayPal. I usuall do money orders and whenever you get it and cash it then send the part. Will that work or do you only accept PayPal?"

His reply on 11/21/07:
"i could do that, how soon would it get here i go on leave on dec 1st to go home to texas till the 19th"

My reply on 11/21/07:
"I could get it and send it out on Friday and depending on their shipping day, you should get it Saturday or Monday. I usually do the Priority shipping so I get a confirmation number to give you."

His reply on 11/21/07:
"HisNameAndAddressHere. let me know when you get it out and once i get it ill cash it and have the tq arm on its way"

My Reply on 11/21/07:
"Alright, I'll PM you the info on Friday!"

His reply on 11/21/07:
"good deal. thanks"

So, as stated, I went to get the money order on Friday and basically overnighted it so he could get it and cash it and send the torque arm out before he left to go back home. I paid around $10 extra just to make sure it was there on a Saturday or Monday. Here's those PMs:

My PM sent on 11/23/07:
"I got the money order in the mail headed for you via USPS Express Mail. The tracking number is:
EB 269110845 US
She told me you should get it tomorrow (Sat, 11/24/07) at noon."

I got no response from him about if he got it or not even though it was showing to be delivered. So I PMed him back with this:

My PM sent on 11/27/07:
"So it's showing it was delivered before noon on Saturday, did you get it?"

His reply on 11/27/07:
"ya sorry forgot to tell you gonna get it shipped later today or tomorrow....sorry been busy packing and getting ready for block leave"

My reply on 11/28/07:
"Aight, just let me know when you ship it so I can have someone around when it's delivered."

His reply on 11/28/07:
"will do i am gonna get it out tomorrow or friday"

Ok, now I can understand packing and being busy. I know how it is to have things you have to do, but if I'm selling something and I get someone's money, if it's not a personal check, as soon as I cash it I go mail the part and send them their tracking number as well as tell them what shipping service I used. So far the members I've dealt with on here, whether buying or selling, have all done this and there's never been a problem. Two weeks tops I'd have whatever I was buying. Back to the PMs:

My PM sent to him on 12/2/07:
"Did you get the torque arm put in the mail? And if so, where is the tracking number?"

His reply on 12/4/07:
"sent it out last week, ill call my bro in law forgot to bring the number with me..... i am in texas right now but they said a week so this wed hopefully. Ill get the number though"

My reply on 12/6/07:
"It's Thursday. No tracking number and no torque arm."

His reply on 12/6/07:
"it will be there we have had horrible weather in WA the past week or so look at the new if you dont believe me....ill call him today he has been working a lot havent been able to get a hold of him"

My reply on 12/7/07:
"I was just wondering why I had rushed to send you the money order (basically overnighted it) but it seemed to take a few days to get the part sent.. and I still haven't received a tracking number nor a part. I know the weather affects some things but I haven't heard of it affecting any shipping companies."

His reply on 12/8/07:
"well because i was leaving for texas on block leave........and i just sent out a lid that took several weeks because of the weather.
04925087 that should be it or this one
04927350"

My reply on 12/8/07:
"Shipped via? Because it's not pulling up on any shipping sites, neither one of them."

His reply on 12/8/07:
"ups sorry... ill call again see if my brother in law sent the wrong numbers. Ups did this before with my lid i sent out i hope it isnt the same case again"

By this time I'm getting irritated. How hard is it to supply a correct tracking number with the correct shipping company? IF you sent the part? I'm starting to get really suspicious..

My PM to him on 12/9/07:
"Did you ever find out anything? UPS has more numbers in tracking numbers than that (My boyfriend works there). If I don't have the part asap I'm requesting my money be refunded in full via money order with a tracking number."

His reply on 12/10/07:
"ill give him a ring, i hope this isnt the same issue as last time....I dont see why you are thinking i ripped you? look at my feedback i didnt rip a single person. i ll call them direct they will have to look it up so i am guessing you didnt even try those numbers?"

My reply on 12/10/07:
"I tried those 2 numbers you gave me on USPS, UPS, DHL sites. Thats why I sent you the PM back inquiring about it. I've read your trader rating feedbacks.. to be honest if someone doesn't have a good one or even one at all I won't buy anything from them. I just normally get tracking numbers within 2 days of a person getting the money."

His reply on 12/11/07:
"i called my bro in law and on the receipt it says parcel post..... so maybe try the usps site. regardless i am calling tomorrow because the other package i sent out hasnt made it yet. Last time this happened my package was stuck in portland for a week due to weather"

My reply on 12/12/07:
"I need a working tracking number by this afternoon or else I'm going to post in the negative Trader feedback section. This is ridiculous. This Friday will be 3 weeks since I sent you the money order."

That's all the PMs between us. He hasn't responded. It seems as if he doesn't care if I get the part or not. Even though I care that he does have my money and I have nothing to show for it, not even a working tracking number. As in the PMs, I had stated I had run BOTH of those numbers through various shipping sites. They all came up as invalid numbers. As also stated in the PMs, I told him I wanted the part asap or my money back.

I just wanted to let everyone know what I'm going through since I've never had to deal with something like this before and didn't know if others may have with him and eventually got their parts or what. If I do get my part(or money back), I'll be glad to post it on here and "clear" up his name but until then...

if he sent it parcel post, then it was sent thru USPS, and it won't have a tracking number. Parcel post is the slowest USPS ships items, so he could very well have shipped it when he said... but, he isn't responding to your pms and doesn't really have any info... so I would go with your gut and assume the worst.

Why don't you use paypal? I would never send anyone a money order for parts, unless a very reputable sponsor/mod here could vouch for them..

I've never used paypal. We've had cards "stolen" off the internet car parts sites and since then I don't like having any card/banking numbers on here. I've already assumed the worst about this whole transaction since it seems weird to me that some of the time it's him shipping it then others its his brother in law. I've sent him two PMs since then to which he hasn't responded to either, with the last being "Whats the verdict?". I've seen a link on another bad trader post about where you can go post it on some internet crime deal and I'd hate to resort to doing that but the way the "shady" answers are I may have to.

I may end up trying it. It's worth a shot since I feel like I'm getting screwed out of my money here. I've sent him PMs and he's still not answered and of course I've gotten no part or money back.

Update!
I talked to him and he went back home and we got a correct tracking number! His brother-in-law apparently can't read out tracking numbers. Anyhow it WAS shipped out on 11/30/07 via UPS. UPS claims the label was damaged or something and are supposed to be getting that corrected... even though they have been sitting on the package for almost a month now. It makes me feel tons better now with having a tracking number, if UPS can get their crap together and get it to me! Just wanted to let everyone know that he DID send the part, just having brown truck issues!

Yet another update..
STILL NO PACKAGE!!!!
The tracking number is still showing "billing information received" and when I emailed UPS about it they claim that they have no package, just the billing information. I forwarded that email to Ws6man2000 and he claims its BS and they've not called him and he was supposed to have found out something. I've sent him a PM today asking whether or not he has found out anything because my Dad, who is wanting this part, is getting very "irritated". Which I can't say I blame him!

If it says that the billing information has been received then UPS is sitting on the package for some reason. The sucky thing about UPS is that the shipper has to go and actually make a claim at the store they shipped from. The receiver cant do crap about it.

In the future dont use a money order. Its WAY too easy to cash it and never send you anything. As much as I HATE paypal its better then just sending free money.

I've PMed him on the board, emailed him with no response. He also hasn't been on AIM.

I've also called the store he shipped it from, faxed them and intend on emailing them. (No answer on the call/fax yet.) I called UPS directly and she gave me another number because it's a "franchise" when it's UPS/Mailboxes etc. The lady at that number couldn't tell me anything unless I needed the email address.

Like I've said, I've emailed him and in the email I've told him I want my money back. I'm fed up with dealing with this.

If it was sent UPS, the tracking number begins with "1Z" and is around 12 digits long.
The data you provide about 'billing info recieved" can come from an online purchase of UPS label; if he underestimated weight, UPS will not ship it. UPS also can't ship a package that is never given to one of their drivers.

However, if the package was sent USPS, parcel post, THERE IS NO TRACKING NUMBER.

Ask for his 'brother in law''s number, call the person who supposedly shipped the part. Bet it's sitting right where it was left for the bil to ship.

The USPS DOES NOT OFFER TRACKING. All that number does is show that it was delivered and at one time. That is it. If you want tracking (to watch the package progress) you have to go with a private shipping company.

No, you will not contact anyone other than the seller and UPS.

Default An Update.

1/10/08, Him: sorry i havent been online...here is the news store got shut down for legal reasons i talked to the region manager he told me to claim lost package and due the insurance deal so i am gonna start that today

1/11/08, Me: He wants to know how long it's going to be before he gets his money back.

1/11/08, Him: ill find out asap

1/11/08, Me: He wants to know why you have to find out. He said that's between you and UPS and you should just refund him his money.

1/11/08, Him: i have to go up there and claim insurance.. i was trying to get a hold of the manager of the shutdown store to actually get my parts back and send them out

1/13/08, Me: He said he's found another one he's getting and he just wants his money back. His $200 and have it overnighted here.

1/14/08, Him: ok here is whats going on. I went to ups today to check up on the issue with this store, the post office got involved and ups did as well they went and picked up all the packages that werent shipped out. Ups told me that your package is probally on its way and i have to talk to corporate office about it. Ups also told me there is a storage unit they havent went into so your package could be in there as well if it didnt make it out. The district manager is helping me out and another ups store owner is as well. If you still dont believe me and want proof that i paid to pack it and ship it i can fax that, but i cant get any insurance until corporate gives me a call and fixes everything

1/15/08, Me: If it's on it's way, wouldn't the tracking number information be updated?

1/16/08, Him: not 100 percent sure....the ups guy told me that they are gonna go into there storage shed see if the guy stashed anything in there... ill check into the update though

Soo.... Here I am.. still no torque arm and no refunded money.
