Question 3.73 or 4.10 gears

hi everyone. wussp ?

guys i got a 2002 ls1 camaro auto 4 so i'm going to change the stock gears
with a 3.73 or 4.10 what do u think better

i dont have problems with fuel i only want something make my car fast but dont hurt it.
Some people told me if i put 4.10 gears my car will be slow in 4th gear and someothers told me 4.10 will make the car so fast to race from 40

Last thing whats better Richmond 3.73 Gear Set -for 2 series carrier or Strange Pro-Street Gears, 4.10 Gear Ratio, 2 series carrier, GM 7.5" 10 bolt rear end

What should i buy with the gears?

I saw Master Install Kit from richmond and Ratech Basic Gear Install Kit, GM 7.5" 10 Bolt
Guys i only wanna to put the right thing with no problem

regards

personally i would go with 3.73s in the a4. If you like to race from a roll get a converter in that car asap. When my car was an auto the converter made the biggest difference. I would go 3.73s and a 3700 converter

I am putting 3.73 gears in my 93 camaro with an a4 and 3400 stall. You can go for a bigger stall.. I would get a stall before the gears, this past year I had the 3400 stall and the factory 3.23 gears in it. You have to look at what series your rear end is for...if it has abs only it is 3 channel, abs and tcs (traction control) its 4 channel. If it doesn't have either, then it is the 2 channel rear end...if someone can chime in if there is any camaros like that..that would be appreciated.

3.73 with an auto.

Also a 3600 + converter.

3.73 gears with the stall of your choice, but I hear a 3600 stall is good for autos.

a4, 3.23, 4000 yank here. I could never make it through the traps in 3rd with 4.10s w/o bouncing off 7200 rev limiter. I'm at 6000rpm through the traps with 3.23s now. I think 3.73 will be about right.

I wouldn't want 4.10s on an auto if I was DD it. You'll be revving it out driving highway speeds.

3.23s with a stall are good. 3.73s give you a slight bump while still keeping it civil enough to daily drive it

That was painful to read. I added punctuation and I cleaned up the format and the grammar a bit.

4.10's in my Auto sucked *****. If I went over 85 I would get somewhere around 13 MPG. When I swapped them out for 3.73 my gas milleage went up and I didnt notice too much of a difference.

I had 3.73's and a Yank SS3600 Stall..my shift point is 6500RPM's. I wouldn't go anything past 3.73's with an Auto casued you are going to be pullin some high-RPM's on the track, and your cruisin RPM's on the street.

I'm goin with 3.89's with my T56, I need about a 130mph top speed in my 4th Gear.

i have 4 11's in an auto and it was fun for a while but now its just annoying, and any race below 40 have fun you just spin, i never get traction and i get like 200 miles per tank im getti 373's soon with a 3600 stall, and thats what i would do if i was you
