I'm getting just over 23mpg around town! stop & go traffic, but it doesn't seem to change much cruising at around 80mph, 23.49 was last I got & my gauge shows multiple miss fires on all cylinders while driving! 95octane, they sell 99 at the pump, cost aside, would I see a difference in milage?

I love how these gauges can read below E for several miles and when I go to put in gas I can only get 14 something gallons in it....so there's still about two gallons left in the tank! I guess that cuts down on stranded Fbodys that have run out of gas

dang you get some crappy mileage. I got that bad once, then checked my air filter, and it was beyond dirty. cleaned it up, put it back in, instantly noticed more power, and then started getting 230+ city.

Ok, filled up the other day... 13.622 gallons on the pump.
Tripometer read 228...
228/13.622 = 16.7 mpg
This was on city/highway(although I hesitate saying highway as the speed limit is 50mph). Nonetheless, it's what I would call "normal" daily driving around the city. Still nowehere CLOSE to 20mpg...

LS1s are actually pretty good on gas, not great but very good considering how much power you can have and still have very decent mileage. I've gotten 27 highway going WOT at least a few times and running the AC and there's more than a few that claim 30+ but do a search and you will see that.
Gear ratios: GU2 = 2.73, GU5 = 3.23 and GU6 = 3.42

I've had two f-bodies both autos a 2.73 and a 3.23 the Firehawk with 3.23 gets a good 4to 6 less mpg on the open road. I was really surprised at the difference. It's like the motor has a sweet spot where it makes good power, torque and mileage and if your not cruising in that range your mileage drops.
