Default Dr.Gas... what do you think?

I came across this site in the past but never really thought about going through with it cause i don't see anything about them on the forum...has anyone ever tried Dr.Gas oval tubing for dual setup exhaust?...they do a alot of work for NASCAR and i'm assuming they would allow better exhaust flow than the recommened 3in tubing...what do you think?

I think the main reason you don't see anybody using ovalized exhaust is because of the price. The only time I've ever seen people use it are on high dollar custom applications.

are they as effictive as a 3in dual set up? As far as the high dollar price goes i can't really say much, but from what i recall it a was something like 35-40 dollars for a certain length...

flow will be determined by the area of the pipe. for instance a 3 in pipe will have an area of 3.14*1.5^2 to flow equally as well, the oval pipe must equal that or more in its area.

I would bet in the short amount of pipe it takes to make a true dual with dump setup in our cars that it wouldn't be that much more in price.

Decent prices, but it doesn't come in stainless only mild steel and aluminized. You can get them to do anything for you if you give them the spec's. The ovalized tubing is a great way to maximizes space under the car. Your paying for mandrel bent peices as far as a cost comparison they are on par.

I had a Dr. Gas X pipe on a 5.0 Mustang that was lowered, it sounded kinda cool, but in the end was probably too much money.
