Default Pulling motor from the top, what is the easiest tool to use?

I'll be pulling my old motor with spun rod bearings in a couple of weeks. I have access to a cherry picker, and have decided to pull from the top rather than out the bottom.

Now the decision is what "hook-up" tool to use. Looks like it boils down to either getting the happy hooker tool from TPIS or a load leveler. For those of you that have used either (or both!), can you let me know which one you would recommend?

Happy Hooker is the only way to go. You'll be glad you used it. I 've used factory type plates bolted in different places ,but you have to man handle the engine around to clear the front rad. support. The hooker has the the offset in the handle to help with this. I found you don't have enough room for a leveler. I've pulled and replaced several engines with myself and my now 13 year old son. He's good at this mechanican.

I was able to get my motor in/out using a regular cherry picker with help. It took about 15 mins of lifting/adjusting to get her in there but wasn't as hard as everyone makes it out to be. I just used the chain to adjust my angle which made it possible to fit.

Not if you don't have access to a lift!

Same here but with no help.

If it's 2001 or 2002 the intake needs to come off.
Not sure about 2000 and down, I did a '98 and just yanked it out because it was a parts car. I did a 2001 and it got wedged between the intake and oil pan so I dropped the K member a bit.
