Default another cam ????

i search for info on cams but couldnt find the right one.

im putting a ls1 in my s13 and i was wondering what cams to go with.

here what im looking for.

im trying to keep the car quite(basically just not loud as $h*t)
best performance for the buck adn not too expensive.
and i heard something about flycuting??? have no idea.
if thats a pain than i dont want to have to do that with the cams

thank you

only one cam, you should read the stickies at the top of the page, its not as simple as "which cam is best". it depends on your application, your setup, and you also have to make sure you have the right boltons and supporting mods to go along with it.

simply put picking a cam is like picking a wife, do as much research before you just jump into it, cause ya dont want to have to do it twice.

I've had two cams in the last year...I wish I would have picked up the right one first.
The first one I did was a Vengeance Cam VRX1 with single pattern 220/220 .581/.581. 114+4 LSA With full bolt ons and lt's I made 403hp/38xtq at the wheels. great power.....manners like stock....but was too smooth for me....

Then went with the VRX4 cam... it has a dual pattern in case I want to use nitrous someday. 228/230 .588.592 112 LSA...It has more power and a better sounding idle, and the #'s aint to bad either. Daily driver with good street manners. Full bolt ons and this cam made 451hp and 411 tq at the wheels. And its an AUTOmatic.

Do your research and only install it once. Good luck!

Post this in internal with your goals & mods. Read the stickies over there and search. Every other thread is a "What cam" thread.

Search the Dyno section too.

FYI- Flycut means pulling heads and putting valve reliefs on pistons so you can clear a bigger cam and have adequate PTV clearance. If it wasn't such a PIA I would have done it so I could have bumped my compression with cam in sig or gone a little bigger.
