like said above, the ASP UD pulleys had more reviews on thrown belts but I haven't had a problem with it at all.

950rpm is high? I think about 1000rpm or so is the stock idle, no???

I hope you don't have an A4 idling at 1000rpm, there is something definitely wrong if you do. Stock idle of an A4 in gear at operating temp is 550 and 650 when in park or neutral. Manuals idle a bit higher but definitely not 1000rpms

For the sake of $25, I'll just get the alt pulley as well.

my factory crank pulley threw a belt then i swapped out the idler pulley for this:

i sponsor on here will be having some soon. very reasonably priced. T6061 aircraft alum with 15K rpm bearings. i will keep yall posted.

the idler pulley...how high is the lip versus the factory piece? price?

edit i see it. matter of fact i remember looking at it when i needed one but thought it was priced too high. very nice looking products though..
