So i found out today when doing spark plugs and wires that my 2000 T/A has 241 heads. This would mean its a later 2000 model with those heads.

Question...When exactly did they switch over to the 241 heads?
Question...How much better are they then the heads on 98-00's like 808 or something like that number?

ya my roommates 2000 trans am has 241 heads wut is that diffrence between mine on my 98 z28 its 8.. i think. also my buddys 04 GTO has 241 heads on his LS2.

I think the difference between the 853's & the 241's were the way they were cast. 1 of them was gravity casted and the other was done a different way.

from what I remember, a 2000 with 241 was towards the end of the model year. Just check the door label for production date and you'll know. 241's flow slightly better than the 853's found on 99's and early 00's. Both the 241's and 853's outflow the 808's found on the 98s.

diff casting just they way the head was cast thats all what you want is a 243 casting
