Default Small filter on left head?

Ok this is a Newbie tech question what is the small filter on the left head I keep seeing on everyone's oil fill??

its a breather cap it doesnt do **** and most people say that they always have oil comming out of it

pretty much for looks...old cars used to require it but not really for our cars

Get rid of the filler caps. Nothing but problems with leaks when you have alot of horses

It does do **** for blower cars. I pushed the seal out of the timing cover on the dyno because the pcv system wasn't able to handle the amount of crank case pressure. Now I have both rocker covers vented to a vented catch can. So If you start to make some big power you'll need to vent the engine.
