Radiator necessary?

Radiator necessary? The guys doing my radiator swap are pushing me to get a performance radiator instead of a used OEM one for my engine swap (V6 to LS1). Is this really necessary? I'd rather spend the $300 on go-fast parts and I don't have a really big cam or major modifications.

Re: Radiator necessary? sorry my post didn't make great sense, I was in a hurry. Hope you understand I'm debating getting a used OEM radiator or a nice after-market one for my new LS1. Thanks.
