Default Radiator necessary?

The guys doing my radiator swap are pushing me to get a performance radiator instead of a used OEM one for my engine swap (V6 to LS1). Is this really necessary? I'd rather spend the $300 on go-fast parts and I don't have a really big cam or major modifications.

What do you guys think?

sorry my post didn't make great sense, I was in a hurry. Hope you understand I'm debating getting a used OEM radiator or a nice after-market one for my new LS1. Thanks.

If the used radiator is in good shape than just save your money and go with that.

Now I'm curious, did the V6 get the same radiator as the LS1?

I don't plan on using the V6 radiator, just a used LS1 radiator with low miles. That's all.
