Will it tear up the transmission?? How much does one with that 3200-3600 stall cost?? So, it will not increase HP but do a better job putting it to the ground? And can it be a daily driver?

TCI's or Midwest are 480.00. Vigs 700.00, Yanks 900.00 or so. Actually it does a worse job of "putting it to the ground". You will dyno lower with a high stall TC due to slightly lower efficiency, BUT it puts you in the meat of your powerband RIGHT NOW, instead of waiting forever for the stock TC to slowly work its way from 1600rpm's on up. Your launhes from a dig or even a roll will plant you in your seat. No more dead spots like with the stock 1600stall. There are guys running up to 4000stalls as daily drivers, but seems 3800 is probably as high as you would want to go as a TRUE daily driver.

But will it tear up the transmission any faster than the stock one? And if not or if so will the tran. cooler help?

It won't hurt the tranny. Just use a tranny cooler and you'll be fine.

Prices vary alot between manufacturers. A TCI SSF3500-3800 is about $525. A TCI SF3000 is about $470. TCI is an excellent bang for the buck converter. Yank makes awesome converters. They are truly on the cutting edge of converter technology but they are quite a bit more expensive.

Any converter below a 3800 makes for a good daily driver (I'd go 3500 with 2.73 gears or 3500-3800 with 3.23s.)
