Transmission ? I have a 98 ls1 camaro and would like to know if any 4L60e will fit my camaro without having any problems. For example a tranny coming from an lt1 or even a truck or 6cylinder engine. If so does anything need to be changed?
Only an LS1 trans will bolt to an LS1.
You can adapt an older 4L60E the same way th350, th400, etc are adapted. Or with a non LS1 4L60E you could change to an LS1 bellhousing, pump, and input drum. At least.
