Default ssra results

Just thought I'd post this up for everyone's information. I really didn't think a ram air kit would make a big difference, maybe a tenth. So I went out to SAR last night. I've got a lid, intake, mid-lengths, and exhaust. No weight reduction, worn out tires. My previous best was a 13.25 at 108.5 with a 2.07 60ft, and after installing the ssra and nothing else, in almost identical weather I ran a 13.00 at 111.3 with a 2.14 60ft. I gained .25 and 2.8mph! I definitely recommend it, it should be one of the first mods done.

Good improvements even with a worse 60'. What was the average gain on other runs that you made?

Well my worst run that night was a 13.22 with an awe-inspiring 2.30 60ft lol. That still beat my previous all-time best. I would typically run around a 13.3 at 107-109 before and around a 13.1 at 110-111 afterwards.

M6, launching around 1800 rpm's. Could do a much better 60ft but car can't burnout or hook... I'm thinking the clutches in my rear end are burnt out because when I do a burnout my back end slides out to the left BAD. Someone also told me I only spin one wheel, this was a while back. I have to let off after maybe one second because I'm almost sideways in the lane. I didn't think those things wore out...

Don't wanna sound dumb here now, but "clutches in the rear end are burnt"?
what does that mean?

In an auburn rear differential there are clutches that slip when you make a turn. Over time they can wear and eventually you will need new clutches or a new carrier.

OP do you spin both tires during a burnout?

The limited-slip system in these cars uses a clutch-based system.

I have been told before that I was only spinning one wheel when I did a burnout. I also jacked the rear end up and spun a wheel by hand and the other one didn't move unless another person started it spinning, then we could kind of keep it moving barely. It has around 90k on this rear end.

Are you sure you didnt just drive your car better. I never got a better time or MPH when I installed my SSRA on my old Full bolt on setup. I also didnt feel anything on my 402 setup with my FTRA but have yet to go back to the track. Not that I dont believe you but .25 and 2.8 MPH is a little hard to believe IMO.

Well my 60ft was slower, I don't think I shifted a million times faster than before..I shifted at same rpm's, weather was very similar, maybe at most a couple degrees (<5) cooler. Track prep was the same as always (crappy). Maybe I did drive a little better, and the weather was a little cooler, but neither one of those would be significant enough to account for those gains IMO. But every single run afterwards being better than my best before is hard to doubt. I only gained .08 in the 1/8, 330' was nearly identical. All of my time was gained at higher speeds.

------Before------After
60ft--2.07------2.14
330ft-5.678-----5.677
1/8---8.63------8.55
mph----83.9------86.3
1/4---13.24-----13.00
mph----108.4----111.3
