Yeah, I bought the car without the FRA done, I did it. It made no difference as far as I could tell.

I need to get the SSRA done still have just a lid and cut open lower air box.

What is a SSRA? I know what a FTRA is.

It's pretty much the same thing as the FTRA, just a different manufacture.

That and one is plastic and the other metal. Search them both and you'll find endless debates about which is better.

the SSRA is plastic, and the scoop extends down below the "chin" of the car. the front of it is open to the oncoming air for a true "ram air" effect.

6 yrs with mine and its been great

here is a sketch i did to illistrate the difference in the scoop location:



my car on the lift...eye level with the scoope


when on the ground



top of it under the air filter

Here is one for you guys. Does any one take the air filter out at the track when using these type of things?

No I keep my filter in. Pulling the filter after driving around for a few weeks, there are all sorts of bugs and rocks and crap under it that get sucked up from being that close to the ground. There's no way I'd risk pulling out the filter.
I got my SSRA off of ebay for around 170 shipped.
The other day when I went out I went a 12.74 at 112 with same mods and minor weight reduction (sway bar, cleaned out the car lol). Around 40 degrees, +600 elevation.
