Hahahaha! I don't mean to laugh at your dilemma, i have just heard about this a million times. I have owned an f-body pretty much since the day i got my license and i guess i am extremely lucky because i have not yet encountered this problem. Although my fiance does roll her eyes a lot and everytime i mention the car she says "oh god! what now?!"

It gets worse when you if you get married. Firing them becomes more of a can of worms at that point. But yeah, chicks don't like coming second to anything. They don't even want to think they MIGHT come second to anything. There are some that just put up with the possibility. If they tell you otherwise, they are lying. The only exception is the girlfriend who actually likes your car more than she likes you. I don't see that as being any better though.

anyway. dont let a woman get in the way of your car. find one that likes it as much as you do

Keep the car. You can always trade your gf in for something better

my wife does not care one way or the other! She did buy me my clear corners for Christmas! Can't beat that! But the one thing that is annoying is that she hate the T Tops off and if they are well the frigg'in windows have to be rolled up ARGH! Jeez! it may mess up the hair! ARGH!

Been there, done that. My current GF encourages me to do stuff to my car, go out with the car to car meets, etc. In fact, if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have purchased my SS. I worried about the money for a bit, but she convinced me to spluge and buy.

Ive brought the idea of selling my car to my gf. "No you're not! You've spent too much money and time to just sell it. That thing is your baby"

I consider myself lucky!

She knows she is #2, sure she makes snooty little jokes every now and then, that just means she has a sense of humor.

My ex used to hate when I would talk about my car, and she hated when I would go wash and detail my car all day instead of spending the whole day with her. It got kind of annoying, but I don't have a girl at the moment, so no worries!
