oil pressure!?!?
ever since i bought the car it has been this high on idle... im thinking the oil pressure regulator is going out... someomes im driving 70 mph in 6th gear and it spikes up to like 75 psi. this doesnt make since to me... it never goes over 80 psi tho.
any ideas super techs?

looks like a good oil pressure to me....the 75psi in 6th gear is kinda weird though, mb the oil pressure sensor at the back of the manifold is clogged up...might be time for a new one.

If you can find the socket that fits the sensor then no, all you have to do is reach back there unplug it put the socket on and take it out. Good luck finding the socket though not usually an autoparts store item for the one in our cars. More like a Snap on or Matco tool truck unless you know a dealer mechanic that will let you borrow it.

Makes life a lot easier than, no need to pull the intake. Hope that solves your problems seems like it will may just be a tiny particle in the sending unit causing the erratic behavior.

yeah if you talking about the sending unit its there on the back of the manifold. idk how hard it is to get to, but our engines are pretty deep in there.
it obviously would be easier to get at it with the intake off but is dooable with it on.
