Can you see a shifter light if it is in a short shifter thing.
I am ordering a 5.0 short shifter and I saw a short handle thing that had a shifter light in it..

Trey likes to race at thunderValley and I know he wants a shifter light and I was wondering if he would be able to see it when racing..

I think you are looking for a shift light. A shift light and a short shifter thing are two different things.The shift light is usually mounted on the dash or in the defrost vent on the driver side. The short shifter is what he uses to change gears.

I was thinking he would not want it in the vent.. What if he gets cold? && it's blocking the warmth from the vent thing lol

 

It goes in the defroster vent not the ac vent. I've never seen one built into the shifter. They are very very bright so he would see it. On a side note, if you two break up, will you marry me? I have never seen a girl love to take care of her man like you. Buying him a bunch of car parts and taking pictures of yourself on his car. You are a GOOD girl. My woman don't even know what a LS1 is. lol

it is one that said something about shifter light....

What your looking at is a shift **** that just lights up. I personaly would save the money and get him something else. Thats something you would find in a honda civic.

 

also that would be harder to notice than your rev gauge. i'd get a shift light that goes in the vent. and if he likes the stock **** ok im 99% sure that will go back on the new 5.0 shifter fine, and look cleaner than aftermarket imho

 

Well, I think I will order the 5.0 pro shifter.. I have been looking at like two websites to get a good deal. I don't want to do e0-bay only because I can get a brand new one for like twenty dollars more...

As to the shifter light. I like that led light.. I thnk trey will love it too.. The only problem is that it looks big. I am not sure it will fit in the hole.. But I guess we will see...

Trust me, he is going to love a shift light, it made a HUGE difference in mine and I love it! Mine's a raptor shift light which is one of the smaller ones to fit in the little vent and here is where everyone is talking about mounting it:

 

Well, times will he want this since it is not a raptor or whatever and not going to fit in that small hole?
