Default just bought my first ls1

ok guys i just bought my first ls1 last weekend. i previously had lt1s but wanted a ls1. The one i bought is pretty well stock and i was wondering what a good cam would be to make good power but keep it streetable. And what does everyone think a good gear ratio would be right now its got 3.42 in the rear. oh yea its a m6. thanks for any input

i suggest leaving the gears alone for now. you already have the highest gears from the factory, so i would look into an exhaust and intake stuff (depending on your year)

Yea forget about the gears for now, check out pacesetter headers. Like 80% of the users on here LOVE pacesetters, including me. They're cheap and work great, no one is going to argue that.

Depends, for cheaper tires look at falkens, sumitos, riken raptors. For expensive tires look at bfg gforce, goodyear, etc.

i personaly like the ls1 alot more than the lt1. Being a six speed the ls1 is more fun to drive. and it has more power than my lt1 for sure. also the ls1 is much easier to work on.

For tires, I'd go with the Nitto 555r's. That's what I've got and they hook up pretty well. A lot of people on here suggested going with them. I believe they are about $150 a tire on discounttiredirect.
