Just wanted to here some opinions on the SLP smooth bellow. I researched the the price on this thing and the cheapest I could find new was like 60 bucks. Well i just went to the hardware store on bought a 8 dollar piece of fernco and it looks just as good as the smooth bellow in my opinion and definitely worth saving 52 dollars!!!!!!! I can post pictures and dimensions tomorrow if anybodys intersted!!! BUT ANYWAYS RIP OFF OR NOT??????

Go to Home Depot/Lowe's and get a Fernco....$6 and a microwave and does the same thing.

My Fernco only ran me 4 bucks at the local HD so I guess you got ripped of anyways! Ha!

No seriously though $60 for the slp bellow is a huge rip off thats why I went the Fernco route.

Honestly, I've never been a fan of the Fernco mod. Never sits right, PITA to put on and off (unless you know just how to cut it or boiled it to permanently stretch it) and has been known to crack lids.

I picked up a used SLP bellow for like $30 and love it (I pull my lid on and off a lot messing with nitrous and I love how easy it is to put back on). Just MHO...

 

You can get ones off ebay for 40 shipped. You just need to search.

the bellow from slp allows more flex. the fernco, as stated, has caused cracked lids since its so stiff..

Yup. My fernco crack my MTI lid. Its a regular black plastic but still. It sucks.

 

I'd just get one of the knockoffs on Ebay. Hell, the guy that sells them gives them away with some of his stuff if you use the BIN. Thats how I got mine. I just bought the stainless headers and he threw it in. I think out right its only like $20 or something. SLP is a rip for sure though.

 

i just left the factory one on my car and the bellows are a rip off
