Question newb question

My o2 sensor went out so, what I want to know is how would it affect my car? Is this a costly repair?

Bad O2 is going to effect your closed loop fueling so when your car gets warm and your not at WOT your fueling is going to be off. Normally it makes your car run rich and kills your performance and fuel efficiency. It's like 80$ roughly for a new sensor but your going to need it.

It will affect your performance...Just go get it scan at autozone, Advance and they can tell you wich one it is and they can sell you the right one. Buy it, take off the old one and put the new one in. That simple.

Im surprised this hasn't been asked yet.... is it front or rear o2? if its a rear o2, it wont hurt anything, it'll just set off a code. If its a front o2, you need to get it fixed.

My check engine light is still on. After I changed all the o2's My a/c went out it has a small leak. We put free-on with the dye and I have a small leak that made my check engine light come on.
