PORTED 75mm OR 80MM THROTTLE BODY HEY, LOOKING FOR SOME OPINIONS FROM THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW BETTER, SHOULD I GO WITH THE PORTED 75mm OR NEW 80mm FOR A STOCK LS1 WITH THE LS6 MANIFOLD. I'M PRETTY SURE THE 80mm IS THE MAX FOR MY SETUP AND I'M NOT GOING TO BE DOING ANY OTHER MOD IN THE NEAR FURTURE OTHER THAN LONG TUBES. WADDYA GUYS THINK?

U won't see any difference between a good ported stock tb and a new 80mm. Plus a lot of people run into problems with some 80mm such as the BBKs. If u must have 80mm get a cable operated 6.0 truck tb and have it ported. Not a lot of people know those are 80mm.

I would keep the stocker and port it. My friend has the bbk 80mm and it seems like it takes the engine longer to rev down, it also seems to run a tad fat. On downshifting or WOT it belches out a cloud of black smoke... It looks damn cool though lol.

i wanted to keep my stocker stock so i added a summit 80mm. for the $ port your stocker. the 2 issues with the 80mm TB was adjusting the cable, easy once i figured out how from ls1 tech and also i couldnt use an aftermarket bellows. the spacer for TB loses an inch or so distance between air lid and TB. CHEERS!
