Default replacing the camshaft position sensor

any one know how to replace the cam postition sensir on a 2000 TA. i hear the intake has to come off...

That is correct, you remove intake and it is at the very back held in by I believe a 10mm bolt then all you do is pull up on it to remove then drop the new one in.

Could this be the reason why my rpm gage not work on my ta this censor?

The intake manifold is pretty easy to take off, don't worry about it. Also it is possible that the faulty cam position sensor could make your Tachometer malfunction.

I had the same issue and my cam was actually backing out causing the tach to go dead. Definately get that checked. It was a recall or tsb on some Vettes in 03 or 04.
