When I bought my car, it already had what I assumed was an expensive contraption to eliminate the skip shift feature. Stupid dealership removed it when they were looking into a fuse that kept blowing (turned out to be a wire with frayed insulation shorting against the firewall). I'm really happy to find out it's such an inexpensive part to replace!

Are you sure? Seemed to me like both 2nd and 3rd were getting locked out, so I had to go all the way to 4th. Which at that speed felt... not so great. Unless I revved way up in first, in which case I could just go into 2nd anyway. I got used to shifting around 2k, but now it's either gotta be below 1.5k or above 2.5k.
